Interesting to note that you don't ever really find the Peel Off right side up like this. It's the little things

Decided to ship blind from COMC for grading. Did it mostly for the authentication. Mixed results, to be expected.

    The good:

    1997 Pinnacle Totally Certified - [Base] - Platinum Gold Unnumbered #1 36 - Ken Griffey Jr. [BGS*9.5]
    Courtesy of COMC.com

    1996 Leaf Limited - Lumberjacks - Black Unnumbered #1 - Ken Griffey Jr. [BGS*9.5]
    Courtesy of COMC.com

    1998 Leaf - [Base] - Fractal Matrix Die-Cut Diamond-Axis Promos #1 00 - Ken Griffey Jr. [BGS*9]
    Courtesy of COMC.com

    The expected:

    1998 Pacific Invincible - Cramer's Choice Award - Gold #9 - Ken Griffey Jr. [BGS*8.5]
    Courtesy of COMC.com

    The "Doh!":

    1998 Leaf - [Base] - Fractal Matrix Die-Cut Diamond-Axis Promos #1 56 - Ken Griffey Jr. [BGS*6]
    Courtesy of COMC.com

The mystery surface flaw and the mislabeled Cramer flip.

It uses to be a good deal. Now they jacked up their prices.

I've done it a few times.

    You did pretty well

Yea, the subgrades on the 2nd Diamond Axis are stellar for that set except you know, the 5 surface. More irked by the flip error on BGS part. Not sure anything can be done about that through COMC. They had it labeled correctly.

I'm not finding any real solid info on this card via my googling, it was on COMC from the same seller who had all the Mirror Golds & Fractal Matrix prototypes. It's gold/bronze metal & larger than a normal card. Some sort of sample/promo or redemption set? Looks to be maybe a 6 card set https://www.comc.com/Cards,sr,=1996+topps+metal

Could it be a 1996 finest landmark. I have one similar in 1996 that is part of that set. It's heavy bronze like a Highland mint card

Had the un-numbered one for about a month or 2. Just got the /25 today. Almost have the entire rainbow! Need the Chrome International and the Chrome Gold. Have all the refractors now unless there are some un-numbered ones out there.

I passed an the chipper because I thought it was too much then found one on eBay for half and still passed. I guess I didn't want one bad enough. I don't have the marble either. I believe it's 1997.

I think it is a prototype. One guy on ebay had stacks of the photo/film that they affixed to the metal die, but I have never seen the complete item. I have the Maddux photo.
