You say they are NOT supposed to be numbered? I know in the older Becketts it stated that, but other than there I've never heard that from anyone before

I'd honestly have to research the articles/pages I read that. It's been a while. The one major thing I know is that the real ones have a very thin signature and any with a thick signature are fakes or not pack inserted. I definitely read that they where not numbered. I had a Real Griffey that wasn't numbered. All I know is they are way too much work for me lol

Aside from this one and the Lankford, the only other "real" 1/1's I've seen from this set are Fryman, Jeter and M.Rivera. All others have been the ones with no serial #. 1/1's were only 1999 UD series 1, series 2 were serial #ed/10.

There's a Montgomery on eBay now and I believe Burbank is selling the Drabek.

For series 1, there should be one of each since UD hand-numbered replacements. There was a Sosa, series 2 (/10) that sold awhile back, hand numbered with the original return letter from UD.

Anyone grab a 1997 Legacy Row 0 last night? I was hoping to snag the Larkin but got outbid by some guy (or gal) who was paying big money for all the HOFers.

Also, I'm thinking those 1997 Legacy Row 0's may be short printed or something. I mean I know all three legacy rows are numbered to 100 but the Row 0s seem to never come up. Maybe people aren't willing to pry them from their collection. But they are TOUGH. I have never seen a Larkin Row 0 until last night. Even checked Worthpoint and nothing has popped up in the last 5+ years. Anyone else find the 1997 Legacy 0s cards incredibly difficult to track down?

Funny you should mention this. I picked up the Alomar for $85. I was surprised by this, since it was 3x-4x what I paid in the past couple months for the row 1 and row 2, and was just about the limit of what I was willing to cough up.

I thought I might be getting shilled, but maybe it was the same Larkin buyer trying to complete a set. Not sure how row 0 could be scarcer than the rest, but on the other hand why aren't you finding many recent sales?

I suppose I am glad I finally got that card, and don't have to worry about 97 legacies anymore. On to the next little piece of unobtainium.

Because the sellers was doing set or partial set breaks on all 3 versions (row 0, 1, 2) I think these sold a little higher than most. I was the under bidder for both of the Mariano's he sold, but I was able to pick up another copy of the row 0 for less than I usually bid on these in a best offer.
