sorry bro, i brought extra clothes and ended up changing to white golf hat backward, grey vneck tee and green shorts. ring a bell?

got there at 515 and went straight to beckett rcr to drop some cards off. after that, just browsed around to look at singles and to help out talmer for a yaz rc and a 1954 bowman common card (found one!)

did a box of leaf best of baseball :x

i ended up leaving at 730. got home at 8. no traffic.

sorry we couldnt meet up. im going back on saturday though so let me know!

Just got back from the show, it was ehh but friday and saturday will probably be better. Didnt buy a ton of cards but I did add a few to my Jeter collection. BTW, congrats on the Belt grades, Dave.

On the Metro-North to White Plains now... Disappointed to hear wax prices are high but I'm mostly looking for singles. I'll be the dope in the gray retro Orioles shirt if anyone's gonna be there this afternoon.

saw a post on Beckett some guy got a Mark McGwire pinnacle first pitch preview for 50 cents.. that is a serious steal

I thought the show was pretty good. Ended up spending about 5 hours there, which was about twice as long as I expected. There were a couple tables with reasonably priced boxes (like 2011 A&G Hobby for $70) and some good prices on autographs and singles if you looked hard enough. Granted there were a LOT of overpriced booths, but I did find an '82 Topps Ripken RC for $15, a slightly dinged Fleer Ripken RC for $5 and a whole lot of Murray inserts in the $1 bins. And for $3 I got a box of Topps Big that I will use for drinking games.

I also got Bobby Richardson to sign an 8x10 for my father-in-law and got to talk to him for a few minutes. (Richardson not my father-in-law... Don't want to make it seem like my father-in-law normally doesn't talk to me.) He was very cool about writing a somewhat lengthy inscription.

Oh and I talked to a previously-banned forum member but I can't say what we talked about because the swear filter definitely wasn't on.

For those that were curious about peeling the sticker and getting it on card...

My friend was asking me for two weeks if, I wanted to go or not. So I'm like, listen man I'm not interested in cards right now and don't have the money. He responds, what's it gonna take? So I'm like, Peter Lugers and two boxes of my choice not over 250 combined. Steak for two, tomato onion salad and bacon all slathered in there sauce. But no wax, because they're all retarded high
