We have a very impressive 1-2-3 punch in our rotation!

Robbie Ray
13-5, 2.81 ERA (3.48 FIP) 196 K, 1.15 WHIP
144 IP, 3.06 K/BB, 12.3 K/9, .196 BAA, 5.1 WAR

Zack Greinke
16-6, 3.01 ERA (3.17 FIP) 194 K, 1.06 WHIP
179.1 IP, 4.85 K/BB, 9.7 K/9 .227 BAA, 5.8 WAR

Zack Godley
7-7, 3.18 ERA (3.40 FIP) 145 K, 1.10 WHIP
136 IP, 3.09 K/BB, 9.6 K/9 .211 BAA 4.5 WAR

There is a possibility we could end the season with three 5 WAR pitchers and that would qualify as elite status...it rarely happens. It would comparable to a trio Big Unit/Schilling/Webb or Maddux/Glavine/Smoltz. I'm not saying our three guys are just as dominant as either of those trios but it's in the same realm (3 All-Star caliber starters). I will say this though, Robbie Ray very much reminds me of a younger Randy Johnson. Just you know...not as tall. Left handed pitcher with an upper 90's fastball & a hard slider that qualifies as a plus-plus pitch. The biggest concern is that he can get wild and lose his command at times, just like Randy Johnson in his earlier days.

You kidding me?? J.D. Martinez is the only batter outside of Greinke who has a hit tonight.

Our starting pitching may be stellar (possibly top 3 in all of baseball) but this sort of lackadaisical offense is not going to hold up in the postseason. It's not like we are facing All-Star pitching either.
