Last night's game was looking like it was about to sink faster than the titanic in the 6th but a big clutch home run by Peralta in the 9th provided the life rafts to save the day. Only a 0.5 game back from the D-Dogs & Rockies.

I hate how the D-Backs have a better record than the Sox....I also hate that Louvello and Hazen went to Arizona, and we are stuck with Dombrowski and Farrell. :|

Don't feel bad, only 4 teams in the majors have a better record. I'm happy with our upper management this year, although I was skeptical at first.

We let a gem go in Lovullo, but I'm happy to see him have success in Arizona.
As for Hazen.....he was a HUGE part in our scouting/drafting of all of the top players you currently see on the Red Sox. He's the "Anti-Dave Stewart", if you will.

Another day, another D-Backs win. Too bad the Rockies are also going to win (and likely the Dodgers too).
Hard to find a GM worse than Dave Stewart. He was a failed experiment. Bringing on Hazen always made sense because we currently have one of the worst farms in baseball.

I've always found the chances of witnessing a team you are rooting for to make the playoffs increases exponentially when you follow more than one team.

Unfortunately those pesky Rockies & Dodgers keep winning so we remain tied for 2nd place in the division and tied for 2nd best record in the NL. Sucks being in a division with 3 teams that have a .600+ winning percentage.

Just sold this for $52. Surprised I got that much for it. I'm glad Goldschmidt autos. are finally getting some love!
Very nice Goldy.
Speaking of him, he just hit his 16th HR of the season today. He now leads the league in runs, walks & OBP while his 57 RBI are 2nd in the league, right behind Jake Lamb. He's also 2nd in the league with a 1.042 OPS. He's a monster!
