Alex smith can't do anything when his receivers aren't open. Niners need another receiver or two. Congrats to the Giants for winning this hard fought game.

And a better quarterback!

They would have won without the two turnovers by Kyle Williams. Alex Smith didn't give the Giants the ball twice in field goal range already.

I would rather they bring in a QB that can sling it...like Peyton Manning. I think he'd make the current receivers there much better. Alex Smith is much more mobile but he summoned his inner Tim Tebow today. Can't be overthrowing guys or throwing the ball at their feet.

And Kyle Williams needs to find a new team.

Ok Kyle Williams blew the game you don't need to know anything about football or even sports to figure that out. You can blame the receivers all you want but Alex Smith is not good at all not at all. The conditions were really tough and you can see it Eli had guys slipping left and right he couldn't throw the deep ball but of course give the niners defense a ton of credit but Alex Smith missed a lot of tight throws. His numbers besides the two passes to Vernon Davis were alarmingly bad. You can't blame the receivers when the conditions are like that both teams have a good D but clearly the better QB found a way to win. Alex Smith has good tools he's got great legs to run with but he's at best an average QB at best.

Alex Smith found a way to beat Drew Brees last week. And he did it by throwing and running the ball. If we recall, Aaron Rodgers was stymied by this same defense last week. Teams lose as a team. The glaring mistakes like the fumbles are what cost the Niners this game. They played well enough to win, but they didn't win.

Same story last week with the Saints game, without those turnovers the Niners wouldn't have been in that game. It just wasn't their game today.

Turnovers killed them. I think this was the first game where the Niners had more giveaways than takeaways this whole year.
