Those stickers are from the 1989 Officlal Hall of Fame sticker book. I have one from when I was a kid.

Some big pickups to end the year! Going into 2015 full steam ahead!

First a h/t to bear0555 who sold these next ones to me way back in September. I gave him the wrong addy and they got shipped to my parents up north, so didn't have them I'm hand until this past week!

Thanks Scotty! I've made a real push for it in the last 6 months for sure! Rebel and you and a few others sure don't make it easy (or cheap) but it also makes the chase more fun and exciting!!

This is an autographed 8x10 photo of Doerr--no markings on the back so not sure if its a show handout (my best guess) or if it's one of the team photos from back on the day-gotta do more research on it

Wow almost 5 months since anyone's posted in this thread. My focus has been on completing the 2014 & 2015 Panini Doerr runs so I've been posting in that thread. Will also be updating later this week with a complete run of 2015 Topps issued Doerr's that I just finished as well. But for now I took advantage of the 2x eBay Bucks to snag this long sought after card to my collection. Way Overdue and completes the set including a boxed signed hat.

Love these things especially the ones that feature Doerr in an image on the front. In the same category as Perez Steel's IMO. Just wish there was a way to checklist them...

2003 Donruss Timeless Treasures Auto/Jersey #/50



Had never seen one of these until it popped up so glad to add it. Love the big jersey swatch, the design, and the picture of the jersey on the back! Wish the companies still did this!

2008 SP Legendary Cuts Memorable Moments "1/1"



Not a true "1/1" but still a cool card none the less. Frustrating part of this is that Beckett still doesn't checklist 2008 SP Legendary Cuts for some weird reason. Was working with Olds on this the last couple weeks but now he's gone so who knows...

Lastly, 1979 Toronto Blue Jays Team-issued team portraits 5 Sheet set


For those that aren't aware, Doerr was a hitting coach for the first couple years of the Toronto Blue Jays. Which in turn makes me constantly on the hunt for Blue Jays stuff from 1977-1980. These are cool sets that featured a team photo and then individual portraits of all the players and coaches. Not sure how they were distributed, but also have a 1977 set on its way as well.

No idea. The early 2000s stuff can be fluky sometimes, as a lot of what I see is 2004-2005 and beyond. I'm sure the other Doerr collectors probably have it already, just one I had never seen in the last year and a half since I really started to fast track the collection.

2005 UD Trilogy Generations Past Signatures Gold #/15-cards from this set are pretty well to come by but they don't pop up that often. Maybe this set didn't get opened up that much back then?!? I know I ignored it for SP Cuts and UD HOF that year...


2012 Panini Prime Cuts Dual Signature Doerr/McCovey #/10-my second copy of this card and still a great one.


2005 Donruss Elite Throwback Threads #/200-another weird one which I had never seen before and had to have it. Not rare at all so might have just missed it over the years


2012 Panini Golden Age Newark Evening World News insert-not a rare card at all but one the second one I've ever seen listed. Slept on the first one and missed it so didn't hesitate this time to add it.


2015 Allen & Ginter 2006 A&G 10th Anniversary buyback-first one that has appeared on eBay and was able to add it for under $2! Now just need the others to pop up


And lastly a weird add as well.
1993 Action Packed ASG Bobby Doerr Diamond Cuts #/500
These are numbered to 500 yet I had never seen them and they are basically the normal cards but with a piece of diamond inserted in them. They aren't listed by Beckett but are by the Standard Catalog. Very odd-negotiated with the seller to break up a set he was trying to sell of these for a ridiculous amount. Happy to complete the run of these with the base, the 24K, this one, and the Coke/Amoco variation.
