Little disappointed in some sub grades, but what are ya gonna do?

If my B.Ham orange wave auto wasn't a 10/10 card, I don't know what is. It got 9.5 x 4 subs though, but it looks perfect to me.

The two "9" centering cards both look slightly "diamond cut" to my eye. Sadly I have ran into this problem too many times to count.

one got an 8.5 on centering and the other a 9. The Garcia is slightly more "diamond cut" than Nicolino. The Nicolino is barely noticeable, if noticeable, and otherwise looked perfectly centered to me.

Do they drop centering a full point for being slightly "diamond cut" on centering? Seems harsh. I could understand .5 deduction. All the Garcia had to get was a 9 on centering for a 9.5/10 card too. That stuff is irritating, right?

BGS does a good job, yet they seemed especially hard on corners this time. Even under massive magnification I could barely see any flaw on corners on the Ball black auto or Gordon blue auto, yet both got 8.5 on corners. Front sides are flawless, and seriously under extreme magnification you can barely see wear on 1 back corner each....and they give them 8.5, knocking both out of 9.5/10 grades. Leaves a bad feeling in the gut to see that sort of grading, esp since I've seen them grade noticeably flawed corners to the naked eye 10 before.
