I was really excited when I saw they picked him up on the rule 5 draft but I was puzzled why the Rockies left him open to be taken.
He's assumed the bullpen role and he's been great all Spring. I think he struck out the side in his only inning of work this season.
The Rockies figured they could leave him unprotected because he was getting TJ surgery and no one would be interested in a guy out for the next year and a half. They were wrong. I'm fairly certain this was one of the moves that got Dan O'Dowd ousted as GM.

I'd like to see him take on a starting role. Our bullpen isn't great but it would still be capable without him. Our starting rotation is horrible so now would be the time to test him.

Inciarte just made an INCREDIBLE catch and then threw out Harper for a double play! Not only did he save a run but there are now 2 outs in the inning.
Now that has to be the highlight play of the week...maybe even month!

A.J. with an RBI single but thrown out at 2nd base. More poor base running blunders this inning. We'd have at least 2 runs with nobody out if it weren't for them.
