Great book. Just saw one today at the local library book store for a buck. I have learned to browse used book stores now since I always find books I paid full price for sitting at a discount. Happy reading!I second Lamcemountain's recommendation of The Glory of Their Times. It's one of the best baseball books I've ever read.
Each chapter is devoted to an early 20th century player, and it's written in first person by each player. The author interviewed the players, then took out the questions and wrote the chapters as the players actually said it. And the players get really indepth about what it was like playing baseball in the early 1900s.
