Was it 2006 with Kershaw, Scherzer and Lincecum? 7 Cy Young's and a total WAR of 118.4

1965 had Seaver and Nolan Ryan. They totaled 3 Cy Young's and WAR totaling 192.3

1984 had Maddux, Glavine and Jack McDowell. 7 Cy Young's and WAR totaling 216.5

There may be others great years, but as of now, I'd rank them:

1984
1965
2006

I'd be curious to see total WAR for the Top 10 pitchers from every draft.

You think Lincecum is Cy Young material? I'd have to kindly disagree with you on that one. He had a really nice 4-year run from 2008-2011 but nothing about his career screams HOF to me. Just my opinion of course. I do however agree that Scherzer and Kershaw may be on their way.

But back to your original question, whether McDowell was drafted in '84 or '87, Maddux and Glavine are enough for me to go with 1984.

I was counting Cy Young awards won and
Lincecum won two Cy Young awards, 2008 and 2009.

Yes, as a first rounder. He was originally drafted in the 20th round in 1984.

Should only count the last draft he was in, not the first. If that was the case then Lincecum shouldn't count for the 06 draft because he was drafted in 2003 by the Cubs in the 48th round.

I bet you $10,000 Lincecum is Cy Young Material (got there twice in that 4 year run you speak of). Id also bet another $10,000 each that Scherzer and Kershaw aren't just on their way, but are already there.
