Looking through my bucket I realized I needed new scans/pics pretty badly. After doing some I realized I had picked up 2 serial numbered patch cards of griffey 24/xx without realizing. I really don't care what the # is, but still a neat find

Paid $25 shipped for this due to the crease line above the patches.. No other damage to this at all beyond that small line

I did the same thing as you basically. I made a trade on here or back on BMB for a 2005 Yount Sweet Spot auto out of /75. The guy had a picture and everything, but it wasn't until I posted the mailday that someone else pointed out to me that it was 19/75. I don't generally strive for 19/***, but I'm happy to get them if only minor effort is involved.

I don't subscribe to the jersey serial number crazy or first serial number or last serial number.

When we did that serial number game a while back, I took a look at what serial number I had to play and realized I had a bunch of fun ones but again, didn't buy them because it was his jersey number or 50/50 like the HR/Doubles year he had, etc.

I believe I have only found one card that was Bagwells Jersey number, and it was accidental, something i noticed when I was scanning cards for my site.

A guy had a huge list of cards for a quarter a piece. One was a 2013 Topps Heritage Bazooka Mini Willie Mays. I sold it for $52 on Ebay! I like those flips!!!

Bought a 1981 Dodgers Media Guide and found that it had a Sandy Koufax auto inside.

And about the only other thing that are happy accidents, is when I hear about a variation and I have it sitting in my doubles box. My favorite one of them is finding the 95 Leaf Promo among ten other Leaf cards. That was super cool.

Bought this a few years back for a few bucks thinking it was a promo card.

Found out later it's an executive issue and sold for several hundred

Awesome posts here guys! All great so far. Love finding things I passed over the first time. That Koufax auto find is sweet. And that jeter is a killer flip

I remember back in the late 90's I pulled a Red Crusade Maddux. I traded it to a guy on Beckett I believe for something like $200 and a Frank Thomas Legacy thrown in. When I received the Legacy it was #1 /100 and I remember someone giving me around $300 for it because it was #1 .

LOL! That's a crazy funny story.

In other news, holding onto that Red Crusade of the now HOF Greg Maddux probably would of paid a pretty penny right now
