1956 Yellow Basepath Mantle - actually got this from a gumball machine as a kid.

Danny that is a real nice one. I am not sure I ever saw one like that. Here are a couple more I got to scan:

Really nice, especially the older ones. Makes me wish I would have been around New York when growing up to be able to feast on the Yankee stuff. I do have a 1962 Yankee pennant that I got in DC at my first Yankee game. It has a team photo and World Champions below the photo.

Here is one of my favorite pinbacks, would probably go well in the oddball thread also. 1986 or 87 "Hot Lites" button, the button has lights on the front the light up. I have a Darryl Strawberry as well as this Carter and have seen a Gooden but that is it, surprisingly they are made by a company in CA.

Anyone have any 1956 (55?) Topps pins? I always coveted collecting a set of those since I saw a near-complete set at a show once, pinned to black velvet in picture frames. Sweet.

Just got this in. Couldn't find any info on it, except it looks a little like ajw's Wincraft pin. Has stats on back from 1991 season. Says 1992 series A-91.
**edit** I see it now on thelesquad's picture. Star Pins...

Does anyone know of a resource that has a complete 1978-1984(-ish) Sports Photo Assoc. 3" pinback checklist?

Yankees296.JPG

I've been compiling the checklists on my own for about 5 years now, but have only accounted for 162 pins (actually seen photos or the pins themselves) out of a checklist of at least 363 (or at least that is the highest number I have seen).

Maybe some of the oldest pins?

I really like these because they're affordable (I just picked up the Bender for $25 and I don't think the Collins was much more) and they have great eye appeal in lower grades. I'll have to pick up the Home Run Baker so I have all the A's HOFers from the set, then maybe I'll go after ungraded commons for my team collection.
