I am looking for a display cabinet for my cards. Looking for something like a tall, glass, modern standing display case with a light at the top (preferably).

Anyone know a good place online or offline to get one?

IKEA actually has a nice one for a really cheap price. But if you order online the thing is like 60.00 but the shipping is like 299.00!!!! Ridiculous!

It sounds like Ikea might be a no go, but if you can ever go to one - try the Bertby it is perfect! The Detolf is a bit large for cards, but this one is perfect. I bought those card stands from BCW and the cards fit just right on glass shelves. It fits 3 cards per shelf comfortably. Here's a link:

I definately recommend it if you can every get there.

I know alot of you don't have IKEA nearby, but mine is about a 5 min drive ;)

Im going to get 1 this summer. I'm going to use acrylic 100 ct boxes (or larger) to make a second row. Right now I have a 1000 ct box on my ikea shelf beside my tv to elevate the cards (with the ultra pro stands)

I like how he smacks his gum each time he talks. At least for his sake I hope he was chewing gum or he has a huge problem with talking.....that would annoy the heck out of me.

I build mine. :geek:
No doors, no glass, no lights, not as nice as a store bought but they work for me.

Those are really nice. You sell them or are they just for yourself?

Thanks

I build for others every now & then. I've given away more than I've sold, usually as a prize for contests I've held since the early days of Beckett. Plans are for a contest here just before the football season starts if that's allowed - stay tuned  .

These guys - http://www.pennzonidisplay.com/jerseydisplaycases.aspx make nice ready mades. They don't work the same way as mine, never seen one in person but folks that have em like em.

I typed in "Detolf" in the search and had a dozen choices of threads to bump! I knew I saw it, but didn't realize it was so many times!!
Anyways, I chose this one, since it's more specific. Congrats sheetskout! You get the bump!

I picked up the Detolf Glass Display yesterday and I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also bought one of those Lack "floating" wall shelves! Trying to display more of my Gwynn stuff.
Ikea is such a great place!
