It's our time of the year! So if you went, show off your autos, pick ups and other goodies!

One and done for me this year. Going to Florida in a week, so I couldn't spend as much as I usually like to, and cut myself a day--hope you have a great day on Sunday TGutta! Had a pretty full night, for being there from only 4-8:30. That's the beauty of going Friday night. So here's my haul of goodies.

Autos on cards...

Stuart Turner, Trevor Hildenberger, Mike Strong, John Hicks, Brandon Kintzler

From 2014 Topps on-line team set. All I need now is Josh Willingham (like that will happen.)

Byron Buxton MLB Debut ticket.

Auto Balls by Phil Hughes and Byung Ho Park

Dan Gladden, part of an oversized photo set I only bought for the Gaetti.

Pick up from the Rochester Red Wings table, 4-card strips that were SGA from the 2014 (?) or 15. More for the Ripken collectors, so I may post them there, too.

Couldn't resist a Stan Musial magnet for $1, either.

From the Corporate wing in the Metropolitan Club area, got these from the Harmon Killebrew/Hospsice Care table.

Met up with artist SPreston in the Metropolitan Club area. First met him at the All Star Fanfest, and instantly became a big fan of his work. He just got MLB approval for his TC Bear as part of his MLB Mascots series, so this was the first time they were available for sale to the public. I get his newsletter, so I was able to reserve one of the first 30 copies, which he hand-numbered and signed. (I got #8 for Gaetti, of course) he is a really nice guy, loves to talk sports and art, and is a big hockey fan (he's a Canuck, ya know). Here's his website...http://sprestondesigns.com/

While loading my Photobucket, I came across this pic from a Twinsfest past. Outside the Dome, in the sleet and snow. Cheese curds and Mini donuts sound awfully damn good.

Finally had some time to get everything that I picked up over the weekend together. I got several items done for clarkzac, but I will let him go ahead and post those once he receives them. I didn't really need any of the bigger names this year besides Buxton. It was more about getting a couple pieces that I have been working on done, getting another bobblehead, and a few more ticket stubs. The first thing that I did on Friday was head straight for the yard sale as I knew if I didn't get in there right away that I wouldn't have a chance for anything nice. I bought a few Brian Dozier Bobbleheads for $15 each for clarkzac and Musial Collector. My best value pickup was getting the SGA Minnie & Paul Mugs that they gave out last year. Picked up 3 of them for only $2 each! I was hoping to find some decent value GU Jerseys, but they didn't have a ton available. There was one player that I was hoping to find, and luckily I did! I will save that for the end of the thread. I didn't go on Saturday, but on Sunday stopped by the yard sale one more time before leaving and it was completely picked over. They did lower the prices on some of the items that hadn't been selling, so I picked up a Phil Hughes SGA Bobblehead from last year that I needed for only $10.

Byron Buxton/Miguel Sano Dual 8x10 is my favorite item that I finished this weekend after having Sano sign it last season.

Another one of my favorite items that I was able to add Glen Perkins and Trevor May this year, now only missing Kenny Vargas so I'm hoping that he makes it through the season with the team and appears at TwinsFest next year!

Ticket Stubs that were signed this weekend. Funny story with the Danny Santana. If anybody here got him over the weekend you probably know that he doesn't know much English. I actually wrote 1st MLB HR underneath the ticket and when I handed it to him pointed to it and asked him if he could sign it with the inscription. He signed the inscription and handed it back to me without signing his name. I asked if he could autograph it as well and he kind of laughed as he just completely forgot about it. Fun little interaction.

Another Twins magazine auto, Terry Steinbach. I went to this line right away on Sunday for clarkzac and there were only about 10 people in line, so Steinbach, Scott Erickson, Brian Raabe, and Brandon Kintzler were very nice to the people in line. Still disappointed that Carl Pavano wasn't able to make it as I was looking forward to him in this line.

A couple OMLB. Jose Berrios is a favorite of mine and my girlfriends and she always loves getting to talk with him. Byung Ho Park also gives a very nice autograph, hoping that he has a great season!

My only bobblehead that I got signed this weekend, Phil Hughes Star Wars SGA. Below that is my display case updated with most of my bobbleheads. First picture is all that have already been signed, second is bobbleheads not yet signed.

And finally my favorite piece from the yard sale, a 2013 Kyle Gibson Game-Used Rookie Jersey! It does not have an authentication sticker, but shows use and has the correct tags for the year. Not having the authentication sticker didn't really bother me since almost always with the Twins they are labeled as Team Issued anyway. It's also nice because most of the better jerseys they did have with the sticker were $150, and I got the Gibson for only $50 :flex:

Good-looking bat autos, Devin. Ball autos are great too. Buxton doesn't have the best auto, but it is getting distinctive. Glad they put numbers after the signature. Some of those guys I would never figure out who they are!

Very nice stuff guys. I'm a little jealous that I didn't have the time for autographs this year. My wife and I took our three kids to TwinsFest yesterday. And, with only a tantrum or two to sully the moment, we had a very good time. First of all, the kids absolutely love the Twins knit stocking hat. They wore their hats along with their jerseys for most of the day. They played most of the boardwalk games and we went down to the batting cages as well. A couple of the biggest hits were the model of Target field and the press box. Yes, they are at that age when the "What and Why" questions come fast and furious.

In the end, I was able to get one autograph on the day. After coming in through the entrance on the Club level, an older man asked if I wanted an autograph ticket. He and his wife had just purchased a Twins cookbook but were leaving and wouldn't be able to use the ticket. I believe you received a ticket if you made a $25 purchase at the Twins wives table. So while the kids were enjoying lunch, I was able to get a nice Brian Dozier OMLB auto.

Went on Friday and Sunday this year. Had a great time on both days.

Friday I mostly hit the auto lines, lined up at the gate for the Perkins/Park line, was 13th through. Got Park on a ball and Perkins on an 11x14. I was then able to hit Plouffe and the 91 guys during that same session to start getting my 91 banner signed.

Got back in line for Dozier to finish off the 11x14 with Perkins on it. I was near the end, so stayed up there for Erickson. Jack cancelled and I had wanted them both but decided to get him on it now since Jack seems to be easier. Bummer was that Pavano also cancelled for that session and Erickson was 10 min late.

After that I headed to the basement to see if I could hit Buxtons line in that same third session, got cut off by about 5 people. I blame Scott Erickson. Stayed in the basement, checked out the dealers and hit up the card show and then the Hrbek line.

After that, I went up to get a couple of grab bags before heading home. After I got the bags, I turned around and Dozier had just come off the interview stage and was signing autos. So I got him on a 2014 derby ball to finally complete my balls from that year. Nothing special in the bags, got TK and Quilici bobbles.

Sunday was great with my son. We hit the kid games first. He was having a blast and after about 5 minutes there, we run into Brian Dozier at the pop-a-shot. Talked with him for a bit, my son got a picture taken and he was signing for a few kids there so we got him on an 11x14.

After that, my son wanted to meet more players (what?! Shocked here but ok!) so we went upstairs. Made it through Suzuki/Berrios and Mauer/Koskie in about 20 min at the end of their sessions. Got Suzuki on an asg hankey, Berrios on an 11x14, Mauer on an 11x14 and 2008 asg ball and Koskie on 8x10 and ball.

Went back down to play more games. Then to the basement as he wanted to play some baseball and I told him he could do batting practice like the players do. We had a great time down there and peeked in the clubhouse but didn't do the full tour.

Went back upstairs and played Jenga with Park and Walker, did some other games before lunch. Ate lunch, did some exploring. We picked up the wives cookbook and were there to see Dozier and May. The boy was so excited to see his new friend Brian Dozier again. So I had them finish off the 11x14 Mauer signed earlier in the day. Then went to read with TC, traded in his bucks earned from the games for a prize and the boy was ready to leave for a nap in the car.

All in all, a great weekend. Ended up with 5 Doziers (one from caravan) and a bunch of great memories. My son is ready to go back and sad it's only once a year!
