20+ homers:
Curtis Granderson, 21 of 23 homers were solo in 2007.

25+ homers:
Toby Harrah, 22 of 25 were solo in 1982.
Bobby Bonds, 22 of 26 in 1970.

40+ homers:

I've been trying to find it but can't, maybe you can help. I am looking for HR's/AB's, for this season. I see that Stanton is at 10 AB's per HR, which leads the league among qualified batters but I am curious where some of these rookies are in the mix. Olson ATM is averaging a HR per just under 8 AB's, which is crazy. He has 22 HR's in 172 AB's........

J.D. Martinez is hitting a HR less than every 10 at-bats (like 9.8 at-bats). With the D-Backs he's hitting a HR every 8 at-bats.

But I believe he falls just short of qualifying (which is nuts because he has 40 HR)

Just like the team as a whole, J.D. is being overlooked by most fans.

Do you think Judge still has a shot at breaking the rookie HR record?

He needs 5 to tie it and 6 to break it and there are 12 games left in the season for the Yankees. That seems like a tough task but Judge has been heating up and we know when he gets on a roll he hits a lot of jacks in a small period of time. He has hit 5 HR in his last 8 games.

Improbable as it may seem, I feel If he stays hot for the remainder of the season he has a semi-realistic shot. I'd put his chances somewhere around 20%

Probably not, being he slumped for too long, but if he does make it close it will be a very exciting end to the season before the playoffs. I'll be watching Stanton too, as he chases 61.

I could only find qualified batters, so it includes rookies like Judge and Bellinger, but not guys like Rhys Hoskins.

Yes, I saw that but thank you for checking. I guess I should have done a better job clarifying that I was trying to find a list that included batters that do not qualify or that also includes them.

Just reaching 60 would be a huge feat in my mind.

However, my thoughts are similar to the reservations you have with Judge. The way Stanton has been hitting lately with the lack of recent power (2 in last 10 games) leads me to believe it's highly unlikely that he'll reach 60 but not impossible.

lol, 60 would suffice. He'd be the longest to reach that goal. Maybe in a couple years we can talk 73...if he decides to go on roids. Or if he "unknowingly" ingests them because his "trainer" was injecting him while he slept.
Allegedly
