I actually do not have the 81 issue. however, you may not know about this one, as it is not cataloged like the 81 set, for some reason.

1980 Long Beach Telegram

Sorry if this is worse than not finding one, and adding another ultra tough item to the list to boot. I still need the Garvey/Carew from the set, but a collector with the entire set sent me a scan and that has to do for now un tip I find one (if I ever find one).

I own about 3/4 of the set, including the Fregosi/Lasorda, but it is not for sale or trade, sorry to say.

When I saw this clipping, I immediately thought MRMOPAR ... I was right!

I just saw this thread and thought I would contribute. I am a regular at CU, but I need to come over here more. You guys are a wealth of info.

I collect Cardinals team sets. I have all of the basic cards from 1948 to present (Topps, Bowman, Fleer, Donruss, Upper Deck, etc). I also have many Topps inserts and test issues. That is basically what my want list consists of.

Here is my want list that is basically from the SCD catalog.

Note: Just added a 1998 Topps Sportzcubz Mark McGwire last week. That was a tough one!

Topps Test Issues and Inserts (through 1998)

1955 Topps Hocus Focus - Wally Moon (a nice impossible card to start it off)

1955 Topps Stamps - Joe Cunningham, Alex Grammas, Harvey Haddix (like I will ever even see one of these)

1961 Topps Dice Game - Stan Musial, Bill White (it's ok to dream isn't it?)

1966 Topps Punchouts - Curt Flood

1967 Topps Discs - Orlando Cepeda

1967 Topps Stand Ups - Orlando Cepeda, Tim McCarver

1968 Topps Plaks - Orlando Cepeda

1970 Topps Candy Lids - Richie Allen

1973 Topps Comics - Joe Torre

1997 Topps Stars Always Mint - Ron Gant

1998 Topps Stars (Gold Rainbow) (numbered to 99) - Delino DeShields, Mark McGwire, Ron Gant

1998 Topps Stars 'N Steel Gold Holographics - Ray Lankford

1998 Topps TEK Pre-Production - Mark McGwire Gold Foil

1998 Topps TEK Diffraction - Mark McGwire, Brian Jordan, Ray Lankford

1996 to present Topps Chrome Refractors

2001 Topps Retrofractors 146 Fernando Tatis - (been looking for this card for several years)

Fleer Oddball

1967 Fleer Logo Emblems & Cloth Patches (tallboys; test) - Cardinals Logo Emblem (1966 w/l record; save all 19 cards), Cardinals Cloth Patch, Cardinals Trio Cloth Patch

1969 Fleer Pennants & Stamps - Cardinals

1970 Fleer Iron Ons - Cardinals

1973 Fleer Team Logo Decals - Cardinals

Frank,

Definitely looking for some toughies. Do you already have the '68 Topps test disc of Cepeda? If so, I'd love to see it.

2. 1995 Lykes (standard)
3. 1996 Atlanta Journal & Constitution (AJC)
4. 1997 Crown Pro USA sticker card
5. 1987 Venezuelan sticker card (centered without back damage)

Yes, I do. It is a progressive proof, but I count it. Here it is.

Yes; I'd count it as well. I think most of them are "progressive proofs" and I guess the full color would be "proofs". How can you tell the difference between the '67 and the '68 Cepeda? On the Brooks, who I try to collect, is very easy to distinguish between the two since one is a facing one direction and the next year a different direction...(of course I still have to find one!)

Here is My Most Wanted Craig Biggio Cards (thru 1995):

1988:
1988 Tucson Toros Jones Photo #2

1989:
1989 Astros Smokey #6

1990:
1990 Topps All-Star Blackless Error #4 04A

1992:
1992 High 5 #3 7

1995:
1995 Pinnacle Pins #7
1995 Ultra On-Base Leaders Gold Medallion #3

Here is what need for 1996 as well:

1996 Circa Rave #135
1996 Leaf Preferred Press Proofs #77
1996 Leaf Preferred Steel Gold Promos #72
1996 Pinnacle Aficionado Artist's Proofs #25
1996 Pinnacle Aficionado First Pitch Preview #25
1996 Select Certified Certified Blue #33
1996 Select Certified Mirror Gold #33
1996 Select Certified Mirror Red #33
1996 Studio Silver Press Proofs #41
1996 Ultra Prime Leather Gold Medallion #12

Those are the only ones I need to complete 1988-1996

Thanks

If you see any or have any PLMK

I am not sure. I have never seen a 1967 Topps Disc. They are even more rare than 1968, I think.

Are 2015 Topps Series 2 Toys R Us Exclusive Purples insanely hard to find?

Can find some Series 1s for sale, but Series 2, nothing.

Found a picture (not mine of course) of the 1967 Topps test disc of Cepeda. So, no hat for '67 and hat for '68.

From what I have read the '68's are harder to find than the '67's.
