You will notice Topps is warning you in advance there will be "up to 60" prospect autographs in the checklist this time.

Some interesting info...I don't know if they will add them in later but the sell sheets make no mention of stuff that has been in there the last couple of years like Red Ice and a few different Refractors. Base set decreasing from 220 to 150 and prospect set increasing from 110 to 150 is intriguing. The sell sheet also makes no mention of paper prospects that I can see, only Chrome. And I'm hoping those sticker Sophomore autos will be "bonuses" or retail-only and not replace a Chrome auto in a box.

Look at the sheet containing the Joc Pederson Gold paper parallel.

Well it doesn't look like I'll be buying into this in wax form, once again.

Hoping some info on BCDP comes out soon, as my guess is I'll end up loading up on that instead

That page only references paper "regular set" cards and not paper prospects. The Pederson card itself is a RC logo card and part of the base non-prospect set.

I normally like Bowman designs and generally don't like to judge until they come out; but I have to say I'm not a big fan of this one with the super thin borders and the awkward autograph space without any real design around it.

Also not a huge fan of the random vertical text on the side border. I'd rather have a clean simple card with equal borders and maybe rounded borders at the corners...for example I like the 2013 look of Bowman. The 2013 products had nice symmetry.

I thought 2008-2009 and then 2011-2013 were great... then 2014 was way too big of a border and now 2015 is way too small of a border. When value of the singles varies so much from parallel to parallel, why not highlight that with the design of the card?

I, too, hate the vertical name of the player on the right side of the border.Hard to read. Also hate the multi colored borders.

I didn't even notice this originally but yikes. Again, I'd like to see it in person before passing total judgement, but based on the mockups, I'm not a fan of that either.

I kinda like it. I did like Finest this year except for the fact that it was the backgrounds that determined color variants. These border colors look nice and not nearly as boring as recent releases. Between Bowman and 2015 Topps base they're at least mixing it up. You can't please everyone, but at least Topps is making some effort to spice up design. Now if only they could fix the other glaring problems they have with quality and value.

Would just like to point out that it looks like that other sell info doesn't mention paper prospects, either.

yeah, this could be good, this is the only paper I see

On one hand it would be nice to see some streamlining like this, but on the other it seems like you're losing a lot of value going from 6 base + 2 prospect paper + 2 prospect chrome per hobby pack to 8 base + 2 prospect chrome per pack. Not to mention losing the prospect paper parallels.

Of course it could just be that Topps didn't bother mentioning the prospects would come in a paper version, too, as they have since 2006.
