I opened it all, and the fun was better than the results! Sadly, not too much in the way of awesome inserts. Best I got were a Ripken Spectrum /1750 from SPX, a McGwire and Piazza Gold PP from Donruss, a Barry Bonds Stadium Stars from SC, and a Biggio Silver PP from Studio that I needed. But that break really took me back! I was 18 in 1998, and like I was telling my wife, some of these packs were out of my price range back then. If there is a downside to these classic packs, its the fact that you didn't get much in general in these packs. Someone mentioned this a while ago, and its true: you could open a whole box and not get a damn thing. We're so used to guaranteed hits that the idea of opening a whole box and not even getting a 1:24 card seems old-fashioned.

Wow, well, I picked this up this morning knowing it was probably an obscure find in a very tough set. Priced it super high so I could monitor watches on eBay to determine if I should ship out and save the 20% charge, well more like 40% but yea. Well, someone popped it at $125, luckily direct thru COMC. Really cool card.

Here are a few cool 1995 Bowmans Best items I came across in the collection I picked up. It may be tough to see in the pics. These are Refractor Tests where they were working with background designs. The Knoblauch has a planet hologram, the Griffey and Clemens have coin holograms. Then the other Griffey is a foil only Test. Also pictured are the football versions where Pace has coins and Marino has assorted hologram numbers. All are blank white backed, except "planet" is written on it. Pretty sweet IMO.

Question, looking to buy a box of 1998 finest. What is the difference between series 1&2?
