This is a great format, thanks! I even spot checked a few of your totals, and they are correct.

Therion

Your format works well too! Also correct numbers with my spot check. However, no need to total your hits, wins, strikeouts, saves.

We are only counting individual battles one vs. your opponent.

muskiesfan

Another great format scoring the entire matchup!

Any of these methods are just fine.

Glad to see this get underway.

This rule confuses me. Can you clarify please? I just scored everything head to head using the new rules but saw this at the beginning again.

Hitters: 1 run each
Manager/Closer: 2 runs each
Starting pitcher: 3 runs each

Hitters: 1 run each
Manager/Closer: 2 runs each
Starting pitcher: 3 runs each

This refers to the number of points you earn if you win a head-to-head matchup.

Example: if your catcher has more hits than the opponent's catcher, you earn one point (run).

19 points are available in each game, so it takes 10 points to win if you are at home, and 11 if you are away (due to the 1.5 point bonus given to the home team, if necessary).

Sidenote: I'll start updating the results tomorrow as they are posted.

Thanks for getting a head start, but unfortunately, the rules have slightly changed to help simplify the game. Please see post #18 for details. Sorry for the inconvenience.
No worries. Do you want us to only post our team totals/runs for each game or also those for our opponents? I assume you were only expecting each player to score their own team and then you would finalize each game after both teams reported in. If our opponent does not list their totals for that weeks' games does it result in a forfeit?

Thanks for understanding. You are only required to post the results for your own team, but as you can see, muskiesfan scored his entire matchups.

However, if your opponent fails to post their scores by the deadline, you win by forfeit.

In post #18 , I moved to one stat for each type of player.

So, for the entire season, we will only use the following categories:

Hitters: Hits
Starting Pitchers: Strikeouts
Manager: Wins
Closer: Saves

*You still have to move down one season after each game.

Gotcha! Thanks. I'm trying to keep up! :D

Plenty of time!

I will also be posting a standings and results links in the OP. Look for it shortly.

I updated my previous post with my scores week 1-4. I think I did it right?

Competition aside, this is cool because I'm learning a lot about guys I would've never looked into.
