I know I'm probably in the minority but actually miss the way archives used to be, where they would actually reprint an entire iconic set. I think if they tweaked that concept a little bit, by maybe including some insert sets, autos and game used, it could be a pretty cool product. Only problem is they probably can't make such a set anymore because of their contract with mlb.

Most of my customers who enjoyed the Archives of old were only marginally satisfied with the 2012 product. Some complaints were crummy card stock, boring base set, boring autographs, boring SPs, boring stickers, boring 3D cards, etc.

Glad to see its back but I hope they can improve a lot on last years' release.

I'd like to see the checklist as well! And the thing I always liked about these sets were the player selection for autos. Not everyone is looking for a Harper or Pujols auto. List looks pretty nice. I probably would have avoided the 1990 design altogether and I agree that the tall boys are a stupid idea (another instance of Topps over doing something that worked once) and not sure we need a basketball design but I'll reserve judgement on that one till I see it

Did Topps stick with the ultra thin card stock this year? I like the Football and Baseball concepts, coming out a month apart is odd, the drawback for me and why I don't purchase more is the super thin stock.

It's impossible to tell from the mock ups, but knowing Topps I'm sure they've used the thinnest, cheapest stock they can budget.

And it's not likely that they will put it in the sell sheet......"Hey we also used regular card stock.....not the flimsy stock we use in the regular issue...."

Have to buy a box, with hope............ and then be mildly disappointed.

This seems like an odd thing to care about unless you're still putting these things in your bike spokes.

I loved these cards and bought several blasters. I could tell they were thinner but it didn't take away from my appreciation of them at all. The depth of the card does nothing but make it more expensive. Unless they start printing along the sides (trademarked idea Mudcatsfan)Who cares?
