Who doesn't own at least one Beckett Almanac or a Krause Standard Catalog?

Im currently using the 2012 Beckett Almanac to price vintage cards in my shop - vintage prices never change anymore.

Here's the last one I've purchased. Over 1300 pages filled with all sorts of odd balls, regionals, errors, promos, food issues, pack issued cards and much more.

Used to have I think the 1996 SCD one. Loved reading about all the vintage sets on the bus to work. But it was tremendously irritating though because there was no cross-reference by year, so if you wanted to find, say, all the 1966 sets you pretty much just had to read every page. I think they fixed that in later years.

But then I got a dog in 2002, and he peed on it. I've never replaced it but I'd like to. The book, not the dog. He's still going strong and housebroken.

You're missing out, honestly. If you like dry information about obscure vintage card sets, there are worse ways to spend a bus ride.
