From my perspective as a collector and a multiple casebreaker, I say TEK was easily the Procuct of the year. What say you? Poll being attached....

I think it was a great break for the price point for sure. I know this I bought in early and did make easily made my money back. Which I bought 2 cases instead of one.

Sadly Topps will screw it up for next for next year and even raise the price to about 80 a box, right out of the gate.

California and Oregon for school
Yeah I don't think anything else was above average this year. Dynasty could've been AWESOME had they A) Lowered the price point or B) Kept the same price and drastically cut the fluff out of the checklist.

Every other product has been a garbage dump this year.

The last set I enjoyed opening up this much was the Baseball Heroes sets that Upper Deck made in 2005 and 2008.

It actually reminds me of 05 UD heroes. 5 base, one numbered and a hit.

Strong auto checklist, good set design, fun inserts. I actually made money based on a small sample (5 boxes). Just got $53 for a Koufax zig zag. Thought it was a common. Lol

My only gripe with the number of base cards. Topps, if you could figure out how to offer 80 cards and no autos in 2000, you can figure out how to offer one auto and more than 7 base for the same price. How about 5 card/6 pack miniboxes with an auto? That would be wildly helpful to set collectors

Product should not be $75 or so for 8 cards...
it should have been the way it was in 97 & 98
They changed it in 1999 & 2000 with short prints and it killed it..
Just call it Topps Tek, If they want to keep High Tek they can.

90 card set with 90 variations makes for a lot of different collect-ability.
I would go for 100 cards with 100 variations...
collect all 10000 cards
collect any pattern of the 100 cards for a set,
collect just 1 pattern,
I like this one, collect (card#1, pattern#1), (card#2 pattern#2), (card#3 pattern#3) etc
They way they have it now, you have to get people to lose money in order to buy singles.

If they want autos, make it 24 packs with 6 cards with 2 autos for $120 a box...

Bring back Topps Moments & Milestones too!

I thought I was the only one that wanted 100 cards with 100 variations. I would love this....if Andre Dawson is included

It's $75 a box now. It could have been preordered much cheaper both wholesale and retail. The stuff was popular and fairly limited so prices have risen.

I bought one box, and made 1.5X my money back one two cards (Springer Cloud Diffractor Auto /25 and a Tanaka Tektonics /50). Still have six cards left to play around with as well. Tek was as good as Stadium Club was bad.
