Is Bryce Harper overrated and just a semi-star and NOT a mega-star as we thought?

I disagree. You may have a point at the same level as Trout has been, however when you look at how quickly he became a 5 tool superstar and maintained for a few years, then flamed out, I believe the comparison is fair.

It doesn't seem like you understand how much better Trout has been than Sizemore ever was. The difference between a 10 WAR player and a 6 WAR player is enormous.

The comparison isn't WAR.

The comparison is two young players who started out hot. One had their career derailed by injuries. The other one could suffer the same fate.

It's not a strict comparison - Sizemore was supposed to be a superstar who was a 5-tool talent but he broke down, so it illustrates that the guys who are supposed to be greats don't always fulfill the potential one way or the other.
