Morning All!

Bad night last night. Our intake child figured out that her mother OD'd in the parking lot at the court house the other day and reality set in. Her father OD'd about 7 months ago.
She'll be with us through Dec 28th, then a judge will decide if another relative (if one steps up) will take her or if she goes in to the foster system.

On a brighter note, MTSS gift box was opened last night. Santa lives in California and is a very generous man!

Thank you for what you do ... and prayers for that child. Hate to go through life with such bad memories around the holidays.

Here's some photos from last night's Cub Scout Christmas Party. My funnest accomplishment of 2016 may have been the creation of a Hiking Club for my son's Pack. 50 boys went on at least one of the six hikes, 30 boys on at least 3 hikes, and 22 boys went on 4 or more hikes. I had promised any boy that went on 4 or more hikes that I would hand whittle them a walking stick. At last night's Pack Christmas Party, those 22 scouts received their sticks. It was a lot of work (cut, sand course, sand fine, stain, steel wool, stain again, seal, and tie paracord handgrip), but I'm looking forward to seeing those sticks in action during next year's hikes! So great getting them out into nature and learning to appreciate, conserve, and enjoy our local outdoor areas.

Wow, Great Job with getting those boys out of the house plus keeping the promise to make them really nice walking sticks. They'll remember you forever! Those boys and parents all look up to you and see what a wonderful thing you do for them.

Keep On Keepin' ON!

Hey guys, I haven't been on really in a month or so. Lifes kinda gotten in the way and I can't wait for 2017 to get here.

Then I clicked on the App today and saw the BiggioBrooks755 and it hit me. There are a lot if issues worse than mine and life is to precious to waste. I really feel for Nick and his family. Way to young to go.

Then there are those people such as fordman and gracecollector who are doing great things and helping the next generation and less fortunate out. Great job guys.

Looking forward to being around more and MTSS tomorrow.

Good evening all. Sad to hear about Nick. I didn't always agree with his posts, but who agrees with everybody on everything? He really showed his passion when he would post on here. I remember seeing him being excited a few Biggio base and inserts coming in the mail.

But work was a definitely a workout today. I spent most of the afternoon stacking bags of peas. 110 pound bags, 24 bags per pallet, and 68 pallets a day gets tough. Thankfully after about 40 pallets another guy switched with me. Gonna take donuts for the guys tomorrow morning. They've busted their butt and put in some long hours the last couple of weeks and figured I could do something for them. The company bought lunch for everybody today because of the work that's been done, but I wanted to do something for them myself.

And this post is getting way too long so here is today's mail-
