I guess he decided he didn't want it and put everything in the SASE and mailed it back.. It didn't come back in the original envelope I sent it in

If you're going to go through all that hassle you'd think it'd pretty much just be easier to keep the money and sign it

Naturally my wife likes to open my stuff when it comes and she swiped the 5 bucks lol

That's so odd

On SCN, it shows that Tenace hasn't returned a TTM in several years. Around 2009 they started getting returned, cash and all, with a note that said, "Out of Country". It is possible that a family member is sending them back so that you won't be out the $5 and that Tenace may now live abroad.

I always have to remember that I am asking them a favor. If they don't want to do it, even for money, it is not weird. I did a few private signings with Curtis Wilkerson and he said that receiving mail at his house creeped him out. He would sign all day long at games or at his hitting center, but he just couldn't find a comfortable way to sign TTM because he thought it would encourage MORE people to send mail to his house.

Maine of course......
I

have

no

chance................................

Excited for first return and this is what I get. He (Bob Montgomery) was a sure thing too.......this team is tough with several no signers- Yaz and Evans, one, Fisk, who costs big $$$, and several others who are dubious at best. Oh well, should have thought about that before I jumped at this team.

I knew it would be tough with the Yankees, also. But, I knew that the successes that I did have, I would be happy with for my collection.

I hear ya- I loved Monty when he was the Sox back-up to Fisk all those years. He was also their TV analyst for a good stretch. I should have included another card at least since I do not think I have a Monty autograph.

Trying to decide whether to try Jim Rice. Fred Lynn typically only signs index cards so I am trying to come up with a "crafty" way to ask him to sign the card from this set.

@MaineMule. Sorry man, that's tough

Thanks and good luck to you with the rest. Helluva mail day for you the other day!!

.....I expect a few positive returns any day now. I did not yet send out any non-Sox cards from this set. Most of the guys are total no-names and I know my 70s' players :)
