This is a little overdue but definitely wanted to share. After winning one of the larger actions I've ever bid on, I received the following in the mail.
The "PSA Pre Certified" seemed odd to me given the contents but whatever. In total, the box contained 24 signed baseballs.
All 24 balls are from the 2001 Absolute Memorabilia Signing Bonus set (hence the oddness of "PSA Pre Certified"). The set contains 89 players with a mix of current (in 2001) and retired stars. The balls in the lot I won have a few lower tier players:
1[SUP]st [/SUP]Row: Sean Casey – 13/25, Javy Lopez – 17/25, Bucky Dent –283/500
2[SUP]nd [/SUP]Row: Don Newcombe – 061/500, Bobby Richardson – 268/500 (very faded), Tommy John – 0529/1000
Most of the remaining autos in the lot were of the HOF variety:
1[SUP]st [/SUP]Row: Goose Gossage – 001/500, Fergie Jenkins – 0072/1000, Jim Palmer – 097/500
2[SUP]nd [/SUP]Row: Whitey Ford – 23/25, Duke Snider – 23/25, Reggie Jackson – 24/25 (very faded)
3[SUP]rd [/SUP]Row: Frank Robinson – 06/25, Kirby Puckett – 20/25, Willie McCovey – 12/25
With some all-time greats as well (insert * where appropriate):
1[SUP]st [/SUP]Row: Hank Aaron – 09/25, Willie Mays – 01/25, Rickey Henderson – 21/25
2[SUP]nd [/SUP]Row: Greg Maddux – 08/25, Mike Schmidt – 06/25, Roger Clemens – 21/25
3[SUP]rd [/SUP]Row: Manny Ramirez – 08/25, Barry Bonds – 02/25, Barry Bonds – 24/25
For the most part, the balls are FS/FT with the probable exceptions of Aaron and McCovey since they fill gaps in my HOF collection.
