Near Philly
Konerko hasn't signed any cards in 5+ years that I know of.

And my dream of a 2012 Wieters Chrome card is kinda coming true...:D

20 Panini Prizm Baseball

Panini America Offers a Deeper Look Inside the Upcoming 2012 Prizm Baseball | The Official Panini America Blog

Even though I'll buy this despite the lack of logos, because it's chrome...I gotta say WTF? to Panini. A 2012 set that'll hit the streets 6 months into 2013?

That's pushing it just a bit much.

And this is why the MLB license and Players Association license need to go hand-in-hand.

Topps wouldn't be allowed to pull a stunt like this, MLB would squash it in a heartbeat if they tried.

Agreed. Someone already said it here, but why doesn't Panini start pumping out 2001 Pujols and '51 Mantle cards? Who cares what year it actually, currently happens to be...

I think they should make 2010 Panini USA Chrome Harpers....they'd sell insanely well in Reno, like all Harpers do here....who cares that they didn't have the Players Association license in 2010?

Re: 20 Panini Prizm Baseball

Wait, I don't understand.

So youre telling me that in April, I, as a shop owner, will actually have a non topps baseball box that not only has more than ONE pack, but also doesn't cost the same as a car payment??

And on top of that, said product will contain actual, current major league players & not only prospects??

Is this what they mean by "affordable choices" in this hobby? What a XXXXing concept!

I do like what they've been doing in their releases in working their way around not showing logos. It's been a much better attempt then products and companies in the past just airbrushing stuff out. Cropping and selecting photos were players are turned but are still recognizable has been a really good idea

I totally agree, but now that you bring this up, isn't this what UD got in trouble for back in 2010?

Also, if Panini is allowed to do this now, why didn't they do it a couple of years ago, instead of the TERRIBLE looking cards of players in single-colored t-shirts, baseball pants and no hats? Did the rules change?

Seriously asking, not complaining about Panini.

I'd like to know this as well.

Finally. Was looking for someplace where I could get a 2012 rookie card of Sergio Romo on or after April 2013, and Prizm has come to the rescue.

Re: 20 Panini Prizm Baseball

There must be some reason why it has to be a 2012 product.

I love that people are skeeting all over themselves about one Panini product and XXXXting all over another.

NT is a 2012 product as well, by the by.
