'98 donruss preferred sealed GOLD Griffey tin /199.... Open?

So I just picked up this sealed tin box (24 packs) to open.

After I bought it, I noticed it was the gold tin /199 of griffey. Which leads to questions.

First, anyone have an idea what an empty griffey tin /199 would go for (this one is sealed).

Second, if I open it, should I expect to find all the packs inside to be gold?

I figure with all the hardcore jr collectors on here, someone would know. Thanks

No only one pack inside will be gold. It will be a random pack.. Good find though. If you don't mind me asking how much it cost!

One other thing.. The large gold box sealed probably won't much more of a premium at this time than any regular sealed large box. The key to that set is the precious metals, which are tough to find and I have opened two Gold boxes and nada

Holy smokes that is a great deal.. Why can't I ever find those deals. I have been collecting the precious metals from this set and am always looking for those boxes. They don't have any more where you found it do they? honestly I may open it, if you find a precious metals it could be a nice find and you could sell it to me

. I have 16 of the 30.

Not bad at all! nice find! I used to love those lunch boxes. (got a Griffey jr one) Pulled some sweet autos from them...(gaylord perry and Brooks Robinson)

1 empty gold Griffey /199 tin sold in last year according to Terapeak - went for $14.60 after going unsold at 19.60 and $24.30
