Each year I make a list of the best new Griffey cards I acquired for that year, and 2015 was head and shoulders above the rest in part because of the influence of this very thread. Here they are spaced over three blog posts:

I've been putting together a Griffey-only Frankenset for the past few months. If you don't know what a Frankenset is and you can't figure it out from the name, I explain it here: http://thejuniorjunkie.blogspot.com/2015/10/the-great-griffey-frankenset-page-1.html

I post roughly one page per week on the blog, and it's been a few months since I started. That means we're starting to get into the higher numbers and even passed our first empty slot in the set at #141. So I'm looking for help from you fellow Griffey nuts.

Below is a list of all the card numbers for which I am currently missing Griffeys. As you can see there are a lot of holes coming up, so I'm very lenient as to which cards I will allow to fill them. Currently I am fine with anything that has Junior on it that is also numbered appropriately. I am starting to come to terms with the fact that I may have to start accepting Ken, Sr. cards and maybe even Craig Griffey cards, but I'm trying very hard not to do that.

If you have any suggestions for Griffeys with these card #'s, I am all ears. Thanks, guys!

Anyone have a 1997 Rave Review with refractive finish, or a 1998 Pinnacle Epix Season Purple?

Two cards which I should have by now but eBay sellers always seem to want $50+ for them. Shoot me a PM if you've got an extra. Thanks much, Chris

Looks like you and I are following the same card(s) on Ebay. The guy selling the Purple Season at $59.99 BIN cannot be negotiated with.....I'm looking for that card too but not at that price. Guess if you want it bad enough, it's sitting right there waiting for you.

For 1:2280 these sure do come up a lot - at least one a week. Starting to think the aren't as rare as we think.

LOL'd at these prices

Actual market value
[advanced Ebay item search]

300 - 500

How does everyone feel about how many of these are listed weekly? Were they so mass produced being Fleer Ultra that even though the odds are high there could be thousands of them out there?
