I found the Spike Owen card. He's incorrectly listed on the Rockies checklist, but card #88 is his Angels card. That's the third checklist error I've noticed in this set (Jaha and Thomas were the other two).

even though I have Harbored a few of the Star Cards here............... nebber a Griffey :(

also Griffey was in series 2, not too sure how many in 2 were stamped but......

Only a very small handful of the Series One Gold Rush cards came back with that stamp. Baseballcardpedia.com incorrectly infers that the stamp was used on all the sets. It also incorrectly states the position of the stamp as clearly seen in the previous images posted to this thread. The reason why only a portion of the sets are stamped isn't clear, but it's generally believed (1) Pinnacle realized their mistake having severely underestimated how many sets were coming into the redemption program. They produced 4,950 for each team - which equalled a stunning 148,500 total sets. And due to that number, in all likelihood, expected much fewer than that to be redeemed. However, when nearly all were claimed, they prudently stopped using the stamp in order to process the redemptions in a timely fashion. Remember this was something like 1.48 MILLION individual cards. It's not that much of a stretch to presume they saw the handwriting on the wall and just gave up on the process. To date, no Series 2 version with a stamp has been found, for the aforementioned reason. 1 - This is an informal consensus based on discussions with several longtime variation and player specialists.

I found the Spike Owen card. He's incorrectly listed on the Rockies checklist, but card #88 is his Angels card. That's the third checklist error I've noticed in this set (Jaha and Thomas were the other two).

So.......who's got the Griffey??? Let's see it!

The Mariners checklist lists Ken Griffey Jr. as card #1 . After looking at the set, Frank Thomas is actually card #1 . So, this is the 4th checklist error I've seen!!!

John Jaha and Frank Thomas are not listed on their team checklist, but are included with the set. Spike Owen is listed twice (Card #88 ) on the Rockies and Angels checklists, and only included in the Angels set. Griffey is listed on the Mariners checklist incorrectly as card #1 . Griffey is actually card #437 , which puts him in Series 2. As mentioned, none of the Series 2 cards were stamped.

I believe this set is complete.

Well if Griffey actually isn't in series 1, I should have looked at CL, Magic wins this argument and he isn't in there ;)

I opened a lot of 1995 Score and sent in the whole set of 1995 Score Gold Rush Series I cards. I received all the Platinum sets back along with each card I sent in stamped. I sold all my Platinum sets back around 2001 and included the stamped sets as a bonus to the winning bidder. I did not think the stamped cards would be worth anything and they were taking up space. I did not open any of Series II.

Has anyone seen any punched 1994 Score Gold Rush cards? Those have got to be extremely rare.

Ha. I see a stack of extra Jose Canseco Gold Rush cards going through the Mouschi magic. Inverted Stamp, Reverse Stamp?? Just as I thought it would be fairly hard to replicate the stamp :)

Double stamp all the way!

I came across a REALLY rare one - a pinnacle punch on a Topps card! How the??

I got the idea to do it from another thread on these where someone said it would probably be crazy hard to git'r dun, so I figured I'd try it. I'm pretty shocked at how quick it was to get it to looking so good.

I'm very curious to as to how the backs of these look. Is the punched part raised out and does it feel like braille on the back?
