Who else but Mr. Met of course.....LOL

Actually, I have a signed picture of the current Mr. Met, and I have a book, business card and picture signed by the original Mr. Met, Dan Reilly, who was a super nice guy, and really impressed that I had "him" on my arm, lol

So I created a post in the TTM section, but no one replied, so ill also post here. I am going to be doing a TTM project soon, so I am looking for some cheap base cards that sign well on, and right now I'm looking for Roger Craig (mets, pref 1962), Jim Hickman (mets uni pref), Doug Flynn (mets), and Tim Harkness (1964 mets).
Bonus points if you can tell me why I want these specific guys.

How about the announcers? They have had great ones over the years- Howie Rose, Ralph Kiner, Bob Murphy. Those would be cool

I like that idea. I have some Kiner stuff, Murph I'm sure would be pretty tough, but Howie, and Gary Cohen are excellent. Today arrived the beginning of my recent new quest and what started me asking the question...

Nice addition...... maybe you can send it back to Horowitz and ask him to pass it around the offices to get it signed like a HS yearbook....LOL

I was just talking about this very same thing with my son. I think as things stand with the Mets ML Roster, Flores future is at 2B. I like Murphy, just not at 2B....

From Mets Blog:

[h=1]Wilmer Flores will play second and third base in 2013[/h]January 14th, 2013 1:45 pmIn a Q&A with fans on Thursday, the Mets said Wilmer Flores will continue to work at both second base and third base in the minor leagues during 2013.
The Mets did not say if Flores will see time at first base or in the outfield.
In 130 games for Single-A and Double-A last year, Flores hit .300 with 18 HR, 75 RBI, 38 walks and 60 strikeouts in 493 at-bats, during which he won the Sterling Organizational Player of the Year Award.

Just found out I can get an autographed copy of the sheet music to Meet the Mets by Ruth Roberts for $20 plus $10 shipping. Isn't that a little much for shipping for a piece of paper, or is that just me?

Sandy continues to pick up catchers.....

The Mets announced they have signed C Landon Powell to a Minor League contract with an invite to Major League Spring Training.
Powell, 30, did not play in the Major Leagues in 2012. In three years with the A’s from 2009-2011, Powell hit .207 in 123 games.
In 79 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City last season, Powell hit .251 with a .353 OBP and .729 SLG, eight home runs and 38 RBI in 279 plate appearances.
