I'll trade good offense n eh defense for I shouldn't be in the majors hitting any day. A .176 something average is ugly.

Looks like he's doing okay defensively this year, but I'm guessing they're working with him to learn a few more things defensively. Why else would they wait?

Defense is underrated, in most cases. A catcher who can't be trusted in tight spots is a liability, so perhaps they have to wait a bit more. He had 14 passed balls last year.

He's been moved off the position. Has only played one game at catcher. They moved him to the outfield at the end of spring when it was reported that he was unable to throw to second base.
