I just can't wrap my head around this.
Please help some of us understand why you buy so many of each card. Is it a compulsion or OCD, or another reason?

Not judging at all. It's actually impressive.
I just want to understand your reasoning for having nearly 6,000 1987 Topps Dawson cards, 5,999 of which you'll probably never look at again, and 155,000 other duplicates.

He's going to destroy the majority making them "rare" which would make him rich when he becomes the king of Dawson 1/1s.

I just recently got over my duplicate obsession on a few rare versions. I still feel kinda weird...

I think it would be fun to take just one star player card from one of the topps sets from any year between 87-91 and see just how many you could acquire. Do it quietly so nobody knows and you don't start paying stupid prices. But say, take the 1991 Frank Thomas topps card for example. Find and buy every copy you can. I wonder how many out of the three+ million you could come up with?

I think rare or low numbered card hoarding is pretty cool. Having like 15 of a card numbered to 25 is rad

I have a few hundred of certain cards after buying a few 50 or 100 card bricks for low prices (1979T Garvey for example, I might have 300-400, but it was a DP). It makes no sense to me to have that many now. although I could see someone wanting to find slight variations or someone looking for a mint card to grade. I have somewhere between 65-100 Garvey RCs, which is a valuable enough card to justify having multiples.
