I as well spent many teenager paychecks on rack packs to find narry a McGwire, had the rest of the USA team 5 times over it felt like. But Don West was pulling 6 out of each vending box!!

I bought the rack pack with the McGwire showing on the rear. I was unable to see how the centering was on the front. Paid $37 for it. Good gamble. Other rack packs I bought had Snider in it and their manager. Got those cards twice over. Was trying to figure out the sequencing. Of all the packs I got, I got a few dupes so my sequencing was close. The population of the McGwire was 276 once mine was graded and was sitting at 280 for awhile. I just saw it went up to 281 so someone else snagged one.

I was looking for information about McGwire's early autographed cards. I've seen several Mother's Cookies, Star, and Barry Colla (I attached pics from eBay). It doesn't appear that the Mothers or Star have any marking acknowledging that they are autographed, but there appear to be a lot of them and they look pretty consistent. Any info on how they were issued, if they are authentic, value, anything is appreciated. Also, are there any other autos from before the 2002 UD? Thanks for any help.

Hey guys, hoping you can help. I'm looking for McGwire's 1987 Sportflics #2 Rookie Disc card. There was a complete set that sold for like $10 on eBay back in June. Mad that I missed out. It's the only card that I still need for 1987. Do any of you have one for sale or know of one for sale? Please pm me if you do. Thanks in advance. -Greg

Thought I had an extra but I must have already given it away... I'll keep an eye out.

Can any of the experts here help with info on these autographs?

The 1992 Colla had a limited run of 200 autographed cards (which I still need). I have all of the 1988 Star variations and haven't seen anything listed anywhere saying that those were offered with autographs. They did have individually numbered sets. It's possible that the auto in the pic represents the production number of the set it was pulled from (357/1000)? Not too sure on the Mother's cards. I don't ever recall a send-in program with them, but I doubt those autos came from random packs in bags of cookies lol.
