Finally landed my #1 on ebay a few days ago, and it came in today! It's not a rare card, but they don't turn up as often as other SP RCs from the same set (or are listed as BINs, hit immediately when I'm not around, like in October). Anyways, here it is:

It was a BGS 8.5, but I hate hate hate encapsulated cards, so I rescued it.

IIRC, that R&S Glaus was the last card I needed to complete that set. I had to wait until he lost the hot-prospect label to get one at a price I deemed reasonable. Even now they seem too high, but I don't think they'll go any lower. A PSA 9 JD Drew just sold for $4. I wonder what I paid for mine. At least $100 I think. Best not to think about it.

I have a Drew that I actually pulled out of a blaster about a few or so ago; would have been a great pull in 1998, but I needed it for my Drew PC, so I was happy. The Glaus booked at $180 and going up in a Dec. 2002 Beckett I have. I had stopped collecting by then, but remember wanting one badly in 1999 and 2000. Could just be that the difficulty of some of the SPs and the legendary nature of this set keep some SP prices higher than expected (wasn't the Ryan Minor suppose to be an SSP that went for huge bucks). I remember going to the monthly RI show in January 1999 and everyone had singles from busting whatever they could get their hands on. Spent $10 on a pack (most by a mile I'd ever spent on a pack of cards at that point), got caught up in the hype and, of course, got nothing.
