Ryan, I don't really know why I thought about it. I like the idea of getting a baseball card/memorabilia/photo of all his teams/jersey numbers, and this is the only one that has eluded me. I thought maybe someone on here might have a stock photo.

I'm on the right track (from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch), but I couldn't download the whole article unless I subscribed:

MATHENY DEFERS TO NEWCOMER CLARK, GIVES VETERAN SHIRT NUMBER OFF HIS BACK

Cardinals catcher Mike Matheny, who has worn No. 22 in each of his seven seasons in the major leagues, has given that jersey number to newcomer Will Clark, who has worn No. 22 in 13 of his 15 big-league seasons. "Mike Matheny is a big-leaguer," Cardinals equipment manager Buddy Bates said. "If there was any doubt, this confirms it."Clark didn't wear No. 22 in Baltimore because it was retired in honor of Hall of Famer Jim Palmer. On Tuesday night, Clark wore No. 28, formerly...

There ya' go. I'd def say that he did indeed where #28 in at least 1 game. I also had forgotten the treason he didnt wear 22 in Baltimore. You happen to know why he went to 12 then 23? 23 ties into his Olympic/College days but why 12?

I really love those team postcards. They are thoroughly confusing, but fascinating. Do you have a solid checklist?

Close , I think ;) I will post everything I have later with what I think it is classified as. I know of 3 version/variations am missing, not sure, but could be more I suppose.

I just tweeted at Paul Lukas, the UniWatch guy for ESPN. Maybe he can help.

I've been lurking around this thread for a while, and love the rare Clark stuff you guys find. Even my wife likes checking out this thread. She used to collect Will pretty heavily until about 1999, and then she stopped. I was hoping that maybe she could start up again, a little bit anyway, with her collection. If you guys come across any lots of year 2000 and newer on Ebay, could you drop me a PM? I keep looking and unfortunately only finding lots of late 80's and early 90's. Go figure, huh? Anyways, I would appreciate it, and keep up with this thread, I am enjoying it!

Also, I just stumbled on this article. It's a good read: http://theadvocate.com/sports/12117301-32/will-clark-shares-passion-for

Thanks for sharing Drew !
A few things , that's awesome for Trey. I am glad he can enjoy life/the game. I have a step daughter (she's 10) who in the 5 years I've known her we've been working with school/specialists ect, as she struggles with learning/social skills and we thought there was a chance she could have a form of autism. Though she wasn't diagnosed that way, it can be a challenge to watch a kid struggle at tasks. Like Trey with baseball, she has found dance and loves it with a passion.

Passed that part of the story , I still hate to see how injuries hurt Wills career so much that he only got to 2100+ hits. He was much better than that ;). Then it's crazy that somewhere in the 94-98 range the Clark's didn't have a computer. That was funny to read for some reason.

Thanks for popping in. Much like you , I enjoy the other player collector threads like Hederson , Griffey , Dawson etc. trying to collect everything of Will is hard/time consuming enough. So I live through the other collections online. I love seeing the oddball stuff the most. I just grabbed like 6 2000+ Clark dups from a stack. I'll PM ya for your address and I'll send em out, hope your wife can use em.

See, this is why I love this whole forum. The people. My Henderson thread is on life support, so as Ryan does, I live through other collectors as well! Ryan sent me a PM and I hope that my wife will be surprised when it shows up. Hopefully she won't read this topic until it does! Many thanks to Ryan, the man, and as always, best of luck getting those tough Wills. Besides, how am I to update my vicarious Will collection without his updates?

Straight from the man's mouth: given #22 as a Giant so always stuck with it. Picked #12 as an Oriole because it was all that was left (he would have picked #23 ). Played 1 game as a Card with #28 on his back.

Right on Joel. I think taking #12 because that's all there was contributed to his demise as an Oriole ;) But glad you got confirmation. Because he only pinch hit in that first game as a Cardinal , it may be hard ever finding an image.

***Was also told be a good source that this from 1994 was also issued in 1996

And this from 1997 was also issued in 1995

So I have two copies of each, though I am not sure why they would of done that and the 1995/1997 one I am not sure that would of been possible unless the photos on the 1997 ones were taken in 1995. (Unless I'm wrong and what I have listed as 1997 actually are not)

And then a few misc:

Unfortunately, I've also been taking a break, Ryan. I've been watching quite a few items, and using this thread to build a new wish list, but haven't fired on anything.
