I just got back from Breakfast with the Fox Valley Veterans Breakfast club. In the Photos the Man on the Left is none other then WWII Veteran Richard (Dick) Williams. Poet and Laureate. Who now has his second Book out of Poems he has wrote on a magnitude of subjects. Also in the picture is Herschel Luckinbill and to the right is John? But we all know him as bird man since he can duplicate most any bird sound you know......He too does poems sometimes and adds the birds sound in them if it is about a bird.

Here Bird man is giving Dick Williams a framed copy of the poem wrote about Bird Man in the book I think Dick released.

And this last one is where Hershel is presenting Dick Williams a framed photo of him and a 3 Star General taken this summer, when Dick wrote a poem about Generals in the service and then he recited it at speaking event the General did.

So every 2 weeks on a Thursday I get the great opportunity to have breakfast with some of the best people who fought for this country. I'm am truly blessed.
Soon next year I will be documenting their stories of the days gone by, so future generation can hear first hand the events that happened many years before those in the future. I look forward to making this a reality.

Here are to link of the Hershel He is a very busy man these days

Good morning! Finger hurts from refreshing the page on the Tek release. So far I managed to stay away from buying that product.

If Dawson was in this I would be all over this.

Nice!

Thanks, this is my first booklet card and only picked it up because of the tag. I need to pick up a one touch for it now.

Seeing all those Dawsons in some ways makes me wish Olerud had more booklet cards, patch cards, etc. Mostly, though, my wallet is glad he doesn't!

Awesome stuff Hawk8!

Thanks! I pick up a lot of Dawson stuff, obviously, but I usually pick up lower priced stuff. I would rather have 10 lower priced cards to fill holes in my Dawson checklist than one big card. That being said I did go above my limit for the booklet and it is my first. There have been several of those booklets to hit eBay but most are just plain swatches. For some reason I had to have this tag lol.

I just scanned this to taunt you Dustin Hawk8.

Just kidding, scanned it for my Vladdy collection. I pulled it back in 2004. You probably have one of the other 24.

Good morning everyone.

Standing in line at the coffee shop at work. Can't this line move any faster?!?
:p

Good morning. Did you send Alie more Starbucks cards? That was very nice of you, and completely unexpected. I appreciate it, and so did she! Her collection is getting bigger. I made several trades on some facebook starbuck card collecting boards. Plus I just ordered twenty off of ebay for her. Lots of generosity over on the FB Boards. People totally willing to share their extras with her. Its a lot like collecting baseball cards, but not nearly as expensive.

Wow, awesome looking card! I haven't picked one of those up yet. I have a ton of the ones with Dawson by himself but the only one I have with Vlad is a green.
