Wow. Nice job. If you ever find another, keep me in mind. I keep searching the stores around here (Billings, MT) and I don't find much. I'm pretty jealous of most of you.

If you ever get super bored, you could drive into idaho. i had decent luck finding stuff at the idaho youth ranch store in post falls, which is next to a goodwill, and across from and up the street from a st vincents. And definitely hit the st vincents, goodwill, and the two other thrift stores down the street from goodwill in coeur d'alene. You can hit quite a bit in an afternoon run down hwy 90. And st vincents in cda is half off wednesdays, and st vincent post falls is half off saturdays.

I keep forgetting to post pictures. The beanie cost a buck 29, and most of the shirts were 2 bucks. The raiders was 3.65. I love hard rock tshirts. If I were a smaller guy, my closet would be full of them. I cant pass them up in stores. Well, the good shape ones anyways. Ive left a few that were just plain bad.

What do you guys use to find thrift shops in your area? I know goodwill but I googled thrift shop and get like church stores and mostly kid stores.

I cant believe you find the odd stuff like gloves and a puerto rico hat and can flip them so quickly. I have only bought three hats and they are still sitting in my inventory. The Hat thing i just cant grasp...

i picked up a few tshirts yesterday, and a Raiders youth jersey style shirt. Its hard to not pick stuff up, but i dont want to be stuck with much more than what i already have.

regarding player tshirts, do you guys bother getting them if the player no longer plays for that team? Yesterday at goodwill was a Red Sox shirt with Matsuzaka and his number on the back. But he is with the mets now, so i didnt pick it up. Do you guys think i should go get it?

I have trouble with the hat thing too. I just sold one this week but only because it was one that I knew would sell. I leave so many hats behind because I guess I don't really know what I am looking for.

I am starting to sit on a lot of T-shirts now too. I can usually unload jerseys pretty quickly but not T-shirts.

Well, goodwill is on google, and i already knew salvation army was also downtown. the thrift store i hit today I saw when i was driving downtown last week, and the one in Felton i found after asking a coworker who lived out there. Problem is if I google thrift stores, a bunch of secondhand "boutiques" pop up which dont do any good for me at all. I suggest next time you are at goodwill, just ask someone there if there are any others around.

I've pretty much given up on clothes. I still look for jerseys and Starter jackets, but I leave most everything else.

I get hats cheap enough that a few piling up don't bother me. Worst case scenario, I through them all on CL and try to double my money.

I mainly go after collectables, toys, and electronics now.

I really only buy t shirts for .99 or $1.99 max. I rarely put shirts on eBay unless they are vintage or new with tags. I just buy the nicer ones and sell at the flea market or yard sales for $5-$10 each.

As far as hats go you just have to get lucky & find some of the rarer Snapbacks. 1 hat can pay for 50 others if you find the right ones.

Rum, thanks for the hat lessons!

ok, heres a story...

last week i saw an Astros shirt at the new thrift store i found. I didnt bother picking it up cuz A. It wouldnt fit me, and B. Who in their right mind these days would buy an Astros shirt on ebay? So i left it and moved on.

middle of this past week i went to my father in laws house to do my taxes. Hes an IT guy, and has a dual monitor setup and he lays a towel and a tshirt over his monitors as dust covers. So i take em off and do my taxes. Later that night an idea popped into my head, to take one of the 99 cent tshirts ive been buying and sew a cover out of it. So today, i decided to try it. I went back to that thrift store and got the Astros shirt ( yeah, no one bought it in the week since i had been there), and tonight i pulled down Jens sewing machine. I read the manual and figured out how to get the thread to do its thing. I practiced on a piece of paper towel first, then went for broke on the Astros shirt. Ive never sewn before, and my first pass was crooked as hell. So i tried again, and did the other passes, and trimmed and did the bottom line. In the end, here is the result of my work:

Lol, nice work & good idea.

I do a lot of repairs by hand & my mother in law does the heavy sewing for me. I actually want to get one of the portable sewing machines & learn how to use it.
