I collect a lot of images actually . . . saves me a ton. You should totally try it. Definitely not as rewarding but in these Clark times, I do what I gotta do

I don't think I have ever heard of variations on promo cards (not counting parallels like 02/03 Donruss beckett magazine promos).
Until these two.
Cropping is different on the front, "promotional sample" is a larger, darker text and no tm next to logo.
On the back, difference in promotional sample text plus there's no tm next to mlb logos. Also, "California" is spelt out.

Just added about 225 promo cards to my collection, picked them up at the east coast national last few days (will post pics).
Ranging from both ripken stand up guys to common/ rarer promos to all sports to non sports. The most I've ever bought in a short time.
Although I haven't counted officially, It probably brings my collection to about a thousand unique promo cards ranging from 1957 to current.

They are in coming but recently picked up a 1996 preferred griffey (steel) silver sample and 1998 "pinnacle team" Jeter.
Spent about $10 each which is waaaaaaaay more than I usually spend but totally worth it for those.

Got the Griffey in from COMC today. I have never heard of the Piazza, not cataloged or anything, but it seemed like a good deal.
