I couldn't find the thread to post in but here is better than anywhere else.... Beckett just added 1996 Leaf Preferred Steel Bronze Promo to his checklist today. I'm sure they added just about the entire set but don't have visual proof that they all were made. Ughhhhhh can't tell you how made that makes me haha...

Didn't someone post a link to BO for a guy who had like a huge lot of them for sale? Was there a Belle?

wow that's sweet! personally wish they went with the clear acetate like yours seems to be over the sparkle one. maybe it was a prototype of some kind?

I wish I could get this card recognized by either the community or Beckett. I could make a mint! But I've never seen another one.

Anyone ever see one of these before? The sample cards are common with the PROMO/5000 and SAMPLE across the front but this looks more like the Crusade executive proofs with the XXXX?

Picked it up from "PinnacleGuy" who was loaded with samples/promos.

Hey guys - as some of you probably noticed a large lot of 1998 Z-golds went up recently (pretty much the entire set) from 'krukcards'. I was pretty excited about my pickups until they arrived today. The Griffey is a non-serial copy. I realize these float around but given that every copy for sale was numbered I wasn't concerned. Does it strike you as deliberately deceptive the way the Griff was listed compared to every other card? Not sure if I should be irate based on the price I paid or not. Definitely not what I was expecting.

He was deceptive. He should have stated it was unnumberd.
