Topps is turning back the clock to 1965 once again this season.

How? With the 2014 Topps Heritage High Number set, a 100-card offering that will arrive via a boxed set on Oct. 29.

Each factory set will include one autographed Rookie Card and there will be 24 sets per case.

A preliminary checklist was not released, but it’s not a reach to expect that top rookies Jose Abreu and Masahiro Tanaka will be found in the hobby-channel release as they are featured among the previewed players. (In previous years, this release was a Topps.com exclusive.) Also joining them will be rookies George Springer, Oscar Taveras and Kennys Vargas.

Among the tentative signers for this one are Mookie Betts, Jacob deGrom, Marcus Stroman, Gregory Polanco, Aaron Sanchez and Arismendy Alcantara.

There also will be red-ink versions limited to just 10 copies apiece.

I picked up a set the last 2 years. Not sure if I will this year. It's tempting but after back to back years of Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Darin Ruf autos....

I love the idea of this product I just wish it came with a $50 price tag, I think $100 is a bit of a money grab for topps

It might be cheaper now that it'll be available in stores. Of course, if it's cheaper, it will be full of lousy rookie autos; maybe one with Yangervis Solarte still as a Yankee.

Anyone know when this is coming out now and if it's going to be available on topps.com this year? Sitting on some promo codes and debating on this.

Brandon Maurer, Casey Kelly, Bruce Rondon, etc etc etc from last year's $100 set would like a word with you.

Also, Jordany Valdespin, Matt Hague, and Tyler Pastornicky etc etc etc from 2012's $100 set think 2014 will be more of the same.

I'd expect the same names that Topps has had signing all year. Enny Romero, Onelki Garcia, Matt Davidson, Stefen Romero, Ethan Martin, Andrew Lambo, etc etc etc to make up 75% of the autos found.

Every set is probably guaranteed to include Onelki or Enny. If you're lucky, a Chaz Roe as a Yankee.
