You know it's bad when you do a $500.00 snipe and get beat and the 3rd highest bidder was basically $200.00. Congrats to the winner that was my max price I was going to bid for that.

Is it just me or does the bidding look strange on these auctions? Aside from the Jeter and Griffey, all the other cards ended within a few bucks of each other, with these two bidders going higher than the third in each case by a pretty wide margin.

It is just 2 people who wanted the card really bad. I was on the losing end. It's the last Bowman's Best card I need from 1997 so I figured to try and complete the rainbow. I was kind of surprised the 3rd highest bid was that low as my friend bought one of these on a auction for $330.00 a few years back. I was going to bid for it but he asked me if I wouldn't so I let him get it. Sucks he didn't return the favor on the 1996 Studio Silver Proof a few months after that but I ended up getting 2 for $800.00 and sold 1 for $800.00 so in the long run I got mine for free. I will get one some day but I need to be more aggressive in my 1997 collection as there not many on my needs list and some I am sure either don't exist or will be way above my price range to get.

I am not paying over $500.00 for it so there is no need for that but if he wants to trade I might have some cards that will interest him. Yeah there is 10 I know will never happen even if they exist but I will keep them on the list as I don't ever expect to own every Jeter cards from the 90's.

I have an O'neill from that product with a hand written "sample" on back. I do not have any information about it though. I'm pretty sure these were talked about here at one time but I came away with no real info on these.

I'm pretty certain these are real. I'm not sure, however, how they entered market since they're essentially positioned as replacement cards given the hand numbering (which I actually really like). I have one Thomas, shown here. Fyi - The asking price on that Galarraga is $1493 more than I paid for my Thomas (auction style). Is his marquee value really that much more than a HOFers?
