I know this Famous Fabrics Civil War isn't baseball-related, and there's no kind of break in FCB for this products ;)

I have always love history especially our brutal Civil War, so I had to buy a box (actually two) from Andrew (Allincards). I absolutely enjoyed busting them. Here are the scans:

Box #1 :

Artist is Mike Perry

John Pope of Union
John Pope - Civil War - Major General John Pope

Box #2 :

Artist is Ken Joudrey

Albert Gallatin Brown - Governor of Mississippi and Senator of Mississippi
Albert G. Brown - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ahhhhh, I think I want to go find the Burns' Civil War book in the basement over the weekend, and read away! :D

Thank for the look, and PM me if you are interested in any. All cards are available...

Thanks Bobby. That's a great checklist. Was hoping one of my family members was in the Confederate or Gettysburg checklist.

Great stuff Bobby and Drew!

Just wondering, how long has this stuff been out? I just checked the auction site and didn't see many Cuts up. My buddy, a card collector who's a CW buff, has one of his relatives in the Cut Sigs set, and I hope he's still got a shot of finding it...

If I remember correctly, it came out around Late June? Or was supposed to at least. My LCS owner doesn't usually bust ANYTHING but chrome cases, but for his cost he figured he would bust one for the chance of pulling a Lincoln cut or other big one. The Base cards in this are beautiful!

Also, I'm pretty sure his price point is $235 out the door, which I'm sure is a solid price to buy at, because his prices are always damn well near online prices.

That Pope auto is awesome! The name rang a bell from a Civil War course I took a while back and the guy certainly had an impact on the war. Great product. I've seen a bunch of these boxes broken on youtube and haven't seen the Lincoln pulled or heard of it being pulled offline which may account for box prices seeing a steep climb?

"Reasonable" chance at a cut of Lee, Grant, Davis, and Lincoln are definitely driving those prices.

True.... but a 4% chance at pulling one of them is really tough....or 00.66% at pulling just one of them. 4% when u factor 5 of 150.

If I hit the powerball tomorrow, I'll show you what those look cuts look like.
I'd buy up the rest of the boxes.. LOL

I can't even fathom owning such history as a Lincoln or Washington 'graph.

I think RS is pointing out that the longer it goes without those "biggies" showing up in a forum break or on feeBay, the better your chances are and that's why people are speculating the prices up.

But it's only been a coupla days so it might be too early for Speculation...
