I have been picking up school folders for my Kirby Puckett collection and so far I have found a lot of versions. I have seen the Dou-Tang folders for 1988(Have),1989(Have) and 1990(Need) Topps and the 1991 All-Star folder(White Border)(Need) but I also but add sheets and I found this one for 1987 Topps folders. Does anyone have any of these? I have never seen them on ebay and I was just curious to see how hard they are to find. Here is a pic of the ad.

That's neat. The 90 Clark folder was the hardest for me to find.

Do you have any other sheets besides the 87? If so is Clark on any?

Thx
Ryan

No the only one I have is the '87. I am not even sure if there are ads for the other years at this point. Players pictured on the '87 ad are:
Front
Kirby Puckett
Mark McGwire
Don Mattingly
Wade Boggs
Jack Clark
Tim Raines

Back:
George Bell
Alan Trammell
Paul Molitor

I've seen loads of the 1988s, 1989s and 1990s, but didn't know they made any other years. I picked up my 1989 Winfield when it came out, but never found the 1988 by itself. It's on eBay right now, but I don't need 20-50 of them. I've never seen any 1987s or 1991s.

Nice find Josh. Never saw the 87's and glad Rickey isn't pictured on that ad sheet. Now that I think of it, I never saw a 90 Henderson either.

The 90 and 91's seem to be the toughest. I don't even know if the 1987's exist or not. Maybe tpeichel knows.

This is probable useless info but I remember having a Doc Gooden, Kevin Mitchell and Will Clark from 1990.

I lean towards they do not exist , unless they made mock up ones. I see no images anywhere except on your sale sheet. Then if you read the blurb it says they will feature 1987 stats in the back = 1988 cards. Like I said those in the picture could be actual mock ups , but I think it was to showcase for the actual 1988 release

The good old days. I loved those folders. It's too bad that companies don't cater to kids any longer so that neat things like this were still made.

1991's are not Topps cards but are made by the same company. Here is an ebay link to the 1991 version.

Anyone have a 1991 checklist? Grace had a 1990 folder, never seen a 1991. But I see his autograph in the baseballs on the side of that Mitchell folder, so maybe he had one.

Someone has a Canseco listed on SportsBuy from 1991.

So far the 1990 & 1991 checklists look like this (from what I've found since this thread started). I'm adding these to the SportsCardForum.com Inventory Manager as I find them.

1990
100 Will Clark
185 Ruben Sierra
200 Don Mattingly
210 Ryne Sandberg
240 Mark Grace
260 Eric Davis
350 Bret Saberhagen
460 Mike Scott
510 Doc Gooden
580 Joe Carter
700 Kirby Puckett
730 Tony Gwynn
780 Orel Hershiser

1991
Barry Bonds
Jose Canseco
Tony Gwynn
Rickey Henderson
Don Mattingly
Kevin Mitchell
Kirby Puckett
Cal Ripken Jr.
Nolan Ryan
Ryne Sandberg

Here is Grace's 90 Folder, and a 1989 Starline Folder. Anyone know if there are other years of the Starlines?

Funny that the folder didn't reproduce the Ben-Day printing dots in the borders like the original card. And the photo is cropped just a little differently, but that's due to aspect ratio difference (a little more of the photo showing to the right in the folder).
