Was hoping to start a little "database" here with information about the market on logoman patches. If it goes well I imagine we could do the same with other types like bat barrels and possibly buttons. While different sets will obviously attract different prices I figured we could probably get a range for most players. It would probably also be useful to know how many logoman cards exist of said player. If player collectors could contribute their knowledge that would be awesome. Nothing wrong with sharing some scans either. I'll try to keep the first thread updated with any info. Thanks!

Don't forget the new Five Star Glove cards.. where they are taking the patch off the back of the glove and putting it in a card.. numbered /2..

There currently is a Pappy glove up.. and I sold my Jeter for $1600

Topnotchsy,

great idea...I'm sure that someone with Worthpoint (I know that RStadlerASU22 had a subscription for a while) may also be able to do some quick searches to help build a database quickly.

here is the only logo man I have, it's a bit different as it has the sticker auto as well...but thought you could include

I paid $460 in october 2011 (more than 2 years ago). It was definitely a lot at the time but the card is absolutely beautiful and I actually think it would cost me more today

I'll add a bunch of auction sales (prefer to leave out BIN/BO sales because it is hard to know whether that reflects the market at all, though we may need to include them because there are so few sales in general).

Not sure if the Triple Threads ASG event logos sell for more or less than other cards. It seems like they sell towards the upper end of the spectrum for logomans:

Trout: $675
Strasburg: $466
Wright: $452
Cain: $265
Carlos Gonzalez: $256
Carlos Ruiz: $209.50
Rafael Furcal: $200

The recent decision by Topps to include a big swatch of jersey (and the tiniest of pictures) does not seem to have been embraced by the market:

Jose Bautista: $137
Mark Trumbo: $133
Brian Wilson: $112

There's not much of a Mark Grace logoman market. He only has 2 cards, one individual and a dual logoman with Rafael Palmeiro. I paid $220 for the Leaf Limited, and the dual sold for $400.

Even with the crazy amount of cards produced in the last few years, Dawson still doesn't have a single logo card.

$95 for this. I've seen one of the other 2 (3 total) sell back either early this past season or early in 2011 for over $100

Probably less than $40 for each of these.

$40 for the button #'d/10. Don't know if I've seen another one. Would love to win the lottery, HUGE, and buy up any Ballpark and just rip the XXXX out of it.

For Grady Sizemore, I've got all the ones ever offered on ebay, AFAIK. The 2008 Premier and both of the 2009 (?) Ballpark Collection #/2, and a Triple Threads 1/1. I'm not sure if there were any others ever made. Will go through my boxes to make sure what I have, but I'm pretty sure I cornered the market on them.

Wasn't someone keeping track of the 2008 Premiers? They were sweet.

If we were going "Beckett-style" and had a price range for commons, minor stars, semi-stars, (drawing a blank here on the next level BGS has) and then individual listings would it be safe to say that in most cases:

Commons: $50-$80 (do they ever go as low as $50? This would include guys mentioned above like Adam Miller and Armando Gallaraga)
Minor Stars: $75-$150
Semi-Stars: $150-$250

It also seems like certain players in all categories will be outliers simply because of their popularity as well as the scarcity of such cards (The Lincecum sale for $750 which IIRC was a BIN is a glaring example).

It also seems like certain sets are far more popular than others:

Triple Threads ASG 1/1 Logomans - some of the strongest sellers (especially shortly after release)
Topps Unique - some of the worst (for the most part)

'09 Triple Threads ASG JJ went for over what I wanted to spend on it. I think just north of $300.

I got the Bronson Arroyo UD Ballpark Logoman for $45 this year. Missed out on it for $80 back when it came out. I also have the button card, for which I paid roughly the same ($40).
