I have the opportunity of picking up a 1997 Pinn. Totally Cert. Platinum Gold Larkin PSA 9 or a 1999 Fleer Brilliants 24kt. Larkin PSA 9 for roughly the same price. Neither one is cheap. Which would you guys pick up?

My gut is telling me 24kt. There's been only 1 ever sold on Worthpoint's ebay sales history and several totally cert. plat gold larkins.

But there's also something very iconic about totally cert. plat. gold.

That's a tough call. But I feel like the Platinum Golds come up a little more often, at least with who I collect. Although neither come up very often it seems.

I like the 24kt Brilliants better. The platinum gold is awesome but it's the same as the red and blue, except a different color. With the 24kt, even though it's also a colored parallel, it looks much different and cooler than the others. Nothing else like it IMHO.

I assume you mean the 97 Gold , but the 24kt looks better IMO and the 96 Mirror Gold overshadows the 97 Gold. I hate that Clark is on the Orioles in the 24kt, but it ranks up there in my favorite cards.

i think the the peel on the platinum gold appearance wise kils it. the ones that are peeled really pop. the brillants just radiates.

They are two of my absolute favorites! I'm going to say 97 platinum gold, though. The 24k is insanely beautiful, but the way the light dances off the 97 ... I love more!

If I only HAD to take one I wold go with the Brilliants, no question about it. However, I would do whatever I could to make the purchase of both of them happen. Good luck. Let us know.
