The first bolded surprises the hell out of me. The second one seems more like Eddie. Nice guy for sure. But I've had a hell of a time getting him to sell me anything other than supplies or wax. I go in there once every couple of months and he is very fair priced for sure. I like BS'ing with him as he seems to enjoy the hobby. But it's like if it's behind the counter, or in one of those monster boxes, it's not for sale. Kind of frustrating but I've learned to accept it.

Why does it surprise you? I was in Howards place after a nearby doctor appointment and he was in there and we had a nice chat about the 98 TEKS. I guess he and Howard do a lot of business together. Ive been to his place in Alvin twice and leaned my lesson not to drive out there as I drove from my home my NW Houston about five years and he didn't want to bother even though I called in advance about checking through his 98 TEK 5,000 count monster box.

I have to say that Eddie looked much better than when I saw him 5 years ago. Seems like a decent and knowledgable baseball guy .

It's surprising in the fact that he would sell anyone teks, like you mentioned, unless it was sealed wax. He never seems to ever want to part with singles in his store. They just sit there. I think he collects and and doesn't want to sell which is cool.

It's official, you Tek guys are nuts. I considered that a place holder price until my next shipment.

Guys.

If you have problems with each other - just block each other. I do believe that Togaman has helped a few people out so I'm not going to go out of the way to reprimand him. Does he seem a bit paranoid? Sure. Is he a bit pompous? Yeah. But, aside from being a bit personal with things, he's not really done anything that warrants any more than being ignored.

I will ask that everyone try to dodge the personal comments and try not to push anyone's buttons.
togaman - I will say that you're turning a LOT of people off, and I hear about it. So, let's see what can be done about this thread going a bit smoother.

MR Administrator Why dont you read and address Mr Roths comment about mental illness and drinking problem that I sent you or filed a formal complaint about yesterday. The ones aren't even TEK collectors. One guy from South Carolina who was pumping 2014 TEK product to this thread who has 9 1998 TEK cards, one Ventura collector whose irritating comments resulted in his list being removed, and mostly a few other guys Ive never dealt with or never heard of coming over to stir things up, and a East Coast guy who is mad I wont trade him or sell him some my TEK cards that aren't dupes to me and are in my private collection.

Im trying to help some guys finish their 1998 TEK sets. If that invades East Coast guy's territory so be it but I especially do not appreciate statements he is making that are not true and disparaging. Will add east coast guy to IGNORE list

If I have to throttle people beyond asking nicely, I'll deal with everyone I feel has perpetuated it. I'm on my phone, right now, because I'm out handling clients. Once I get back I to the office, I'll be glad to go back with a fine-tooth comb and suspend people, accordingly.
Until then, I encourage people who don't want to make my job tougher to go back and edit/delete posts, accordingly. I feel like these are all issues that exist between specific USERS (both as aggressors and instigators). That's why I thought putting a little presence here would make people straighten up.

If if you need hands to be held to play nice, I'll oblige. Give me a couple hours.

Ok, guys.

I have cleaned up back until the point where I think the thread got out of hand. After reading 20 pages (I have max posts per page), my decision is this:

(1) No one is getting suspended at this time. Those of you who have any sort of tenure here should know that's me showing a great deal of leniency.
(2) The bickering seems to be completely contained within a specific sub-set of participants in this thread. They should know who they are - they have a few less posts in their counts.
(3) Despite what has been reported, I see no personal information that wasn't first posted otherwise... such as e-mail addresses.
(4) Please, keep future bickering to PMs.

Reasoning for no suspensions:
-Everyone involved has contributed to the thread and its goal. I'm not going to strip assets for the sake of rough edges. I highly recommend use of the ignore function.

Edit: I do want to add this - regardless of accuracy, sincere attacks at mental aptitude or substance abuse will NOT be tolerated. This is the one and only warning. I am not talking about:

"Man, are you on crack?!?!?!?" when discussing prices.
"That price is retarded!" when discussing prices.

Those just require a bit thicker skin.

I had five Robin Ventura Teks arrive today. I was able to track down a number of cards over the weekend. My want list has been reduced to eight. 91% there.

It is pretty sad to see the 90 card set of Cammi up starting at $0.99... will see where it goes I guess. All the time, energy and probably $ behind it. I almost don't want to watch because I'm sure I would have the same issue if I were to exit and wanted to liquidate. Would be a rude awakening I'm sure for me.

I think you'd be fine with your Belle's because there are plenty of Indians and White Sox fans.

Caminiti is a unique situation. Sort of a forgotten team and a forgotten career because of what happened at the end.

Wasn't there a Bonds 1-90 set up for auction a year or so ago?

I have 6 binders full of Padres cards. Trying to condense. Funny how collections evolve over time.

For sure. I hope you're happy with where ever it ends at. I know how much time and energy that must have taken you... not to mention $. God... I'd pay $10 each for the last three patterns I need at this point.

I put a reserve on it so I don't have to sell them. I got completely tired of my collection after there was nothing else to collect. I'd probably find a new card I didn't have every 5 months or so.

I'm kind of super collecting another player I don't want to name so I'm having fun with that.

Due to popular demand (of at least two or three collectors) I've started a computerized list of my extra '98 Tek base cards. So far players 1 through 15. More to come as I get a little spare time. All cards are kept in sleeves.

I will ship one card in a PWE by request for .50 -- buyer's responsibility. Up to 15 cards, $2.50 for shipping in a bubble mailer. Over 15 cards, priority mail, minimum $5.75 with tracking. Not looking to haggle over each card. This isn't the LCS 10 cent box or a flea market. For large orders, I will discount the price or pick up the postage. I have to charge cost for shipping to Canada or other countries. I am also willing to trade for other '98 Tek base cards or diffractors.
