I did my family history and shocked at what i found.

Im not sure i believe the a chunk of the top. and some of the dates are off obviously due to probably poor records etc. anyway i did this on ancestry.com. thankfully my family was very prominent back in the day so i was able to trace them that far back. A few things i did find is that my 5 times great grandfather Jacob Jasper Ross's brother is George Ross and he was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Another brother of his was Aeneas Ross who had a son John, John married Betsy Ross. They never had children because he died. Duncan I Scotland was killed by Macbeth and apprently was the original story to Shakespeares Macbeth.

That's some interesting stuff you've got there! I've kicked around the idea of hopping on that site and seeing what pops up. Is it fairly simple to use?

it is if you have the time to dig and try to decipher old documents. luckily most of my ancestors were already done by other people over the years. so most were already linked.

If you don't mind me asking, what did it cost to get this kind of report?

Are you aware that after 15 generations we are ALL related - It is a mathematical certainty - Factorial 15 is over a trillion. AND, since it is fairly certain that Joseph and Mary of Galilee were known to have also
had 2 other children, that makes Jesus our cousin, and God is then our uncle... Think on that one for a while - the logic is flawless.

Very cool stuff comes out when you're searching back. One of my cousins has been tracing back the Guimbellot roots (my mother's side), and has gotten it back to the first Robert de Bruce with credible records.

Bingo! He's related to Adam! And also your next door neighbor. 2nd cousin, 14 times removed. He is also in line for the royalty in England, albeit a bit behind me...
Geneology is such a hoot - but generally it doesn't allow for death, divorce, murder, incest, lying, impersonation, typos and any number of other hiccups.
The single most accurate database of geneological data is the LDS Church.

Do they agree or disagree with Dan Brown's findings?

I'm assuming you are speaking of the author, and if you are, I think he did get some data from those records. He probably massaged them a tad to fit the story line, but as I understand
the LDS records only stretch back to about the 1550's. Please do not quote me on that point as I have not seen docs as to that.
