A New AstrosAtoZ Interview: George Culver

It has been a few months since I have had time to do an interview, but with all of my students gone home for the summer I talked my way into an interview with former Astros relief pitcher, George Culver.

As always, I love feedback.

Yeah, I don't get a lot of well known guys falling over themselves to do an interview with a tiny website, but I enjoy their stories!

Fantastic as usual. I really enjoy these stories from the roster "nooks and crannies" maybe more so than superstar interviews anyway! Those are far too rehearsed. None of us can relate to a Hall of Famer, but some guy living in his small town working with high school athletics we can. The fact that those "15 minutes of Famers" reached the ultimate dream, no matter how brief or unremarkable, is just awesome. You throw one pitch in the bigs and you're a Major Leaguer and no one can ever take that from these guys

I certainly would never turn down an interview with Nolan Ryan, but I agree!
